Rein DOES have a super high winrate in lower ranks & in qp. It's really hard playing around a rein in a game where people aren't coordinated or on maps where there's not a lot of high ground--so I totally understand why he hasn't gotten buffed.

@@imperialdra-mon5907 I have an 87% win rate with rein in high diamond. Know why? people love shooting the barrier. It's pretty common for me to have 60k dmg mitigated, and the enemy dps to have less than 5k dmg and almost no elims. Sure I might explode, but the mitigated dmg gives my dps and more importantly, supports space to win the game. All because players... they are dumb and shoot the biggest thing on their screen.

9 times out of 10 holding that choke fails. But ONE time out of ten you hold them in the spawn. And TEN times out of TEN bronze and silver tanks hold there.

Im a silver/gold Doomfist, so I usually just opt to hold them in spawn most of the time since this choke gives me so much to work with(healthpack on the right, and you can boop at the right stairs, or just keep farming ult charge before you take a teamfight before point contest.)

The choke is a disaster because most teams get split on the retreat, you play point and it's usually easy defense because the support's lives are 10x easier.

I only ever play with a full group of my friends, and I can not convince them that fighting in front of the enemy spawn is a bad idea. Every time I say something I’m told “but we are doing fine” followed by one person dying and then losing the point. It’s been endlessly frustrating

For a silver player, their shots and hooks are pretty dang good as far as I can see. If they just worked on when to use the ults and have slightly better positioning, they’ll climb the ranks easily

so, good uses for pig pen, use when disengaging to slow pursuers, use when they're grouped up to force them out of position, use to enable one shot, use on popular flank spots to get info of a yone moving through there, similarly to how sym might use her turrets. i also like throwing it onto a popular cover spot closer to the enemies side since the cooldown would usually be off by the time it either gets triggered, or i get a good chamce for the hook on a squishy

If youre low rank and youre playing tank you dont get to pick your position, the supports and dpss will conpletely ignore you so you can either choose to play the top 100 position and bait your team or play pushed up

another tip for your whole hog is to hook the tank first THEN pop the ult. Lot of times in this vod Our Hero just popped ult and pushed them back

The point is to slow down the retreat of whoever he hooks (imo). You throw the pig pen down, and hook an enemy into it, slowing them down and allowing your team to jump them and finish them off.
