I really didn’t appreciate candy in the first season enough, she’s beautiful and funny and strong and just such a vital story arc on this show, I was so excited for the second season, I was on KZbin and scrolled passed a clip of her funeral scene, and I was so mad someone spoiled that for me and mad cuz I wasn’t even thinking of anyone dying on the show, I didn’t watch it for a while cuz I wanted to watch the show and not spoil anything, but I got inpatient and watched and it wasn’t until I watched the second season, paying more attention to candy and cherishing her a lot more that when I saw the scene again I was a mess, just crying like I knew candy personally, this scene when I watched it the first time changed my whole mood the rest of the episode, cuz I knew right when candy got in pray tells face that this was her last episode, this would be the last time we see “Ms. Caaaannnndy” ( alive ) but yea I definitely cherish her character more than I did before and the actress deserves all the praise in the world 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I used to live in an area of Liverpool where I as a "white" bloke was the ethnic minority. That was not a problem as everyone took each other as we found each other. For my friends I had to point out that despite the fact they would know if I used the n-word, one I would never use, on Granby I would likely be a stain on the pavement before they had a chance to react, given I was white, had long hair, not popular on the scene, wore bikers leathers and so while I understood what they meant I had to educate on what it is like from my view point, not side as that implies conflict that didn't actually exist for those who lived in the area. One thing sticks n my head from then, it was when I walked home from town, which back then was the norm safety wise, and I was stopped or a chat by a bloke at the start of Prinny. He asked me if I was gay, normally I would just say yes. However this was at 3am and there was only the two of us, so I asked him "How is that relevant?" given how long we had chatted friendly. I said to him when he tried to challenge me to answer his question, though I felt no threat, that I will answer it only if he answered mine. He didn't sadly as he was a good looking bloke nd I had no problem going with bis regardless of the bigoted scene attitude at the time.
