You forgot the most obvious trajectory with the high cost living. Indie sleaze.

the political and economic climate is going through a drastic change and i think countercultures will rise in popularity, which will affect fashion a lot. already im seeing way more punks, goths, and a LOT of scenes/emos just like out in public instead of my echo chamber online lol, the communities are like seriously growing. recently a lot of fashion trends like the more alt y2k, acubi, e-girl style, and like, that weird tiktok version of grunge have been like integrated into fashion but a lot of actual alt subcultures were pretty dormant, there was just so much collective trend following all the time. i think yeah theres gonna be a lot of the microtrend girls who think theyre special with the latest niche trendy item (they all dress the same), because thats just what fashion is like now bc of social media, but i think people will start getting way more into the actual subcultures, especially because of how people are really unhappy with the government and the world in general. alt subcultures serve as a counterculture, and a community to come together and be unqiue and defy common/popular culture and are pretty accessible so i think the fashion associated with alt subcultures will become way more prevalent and less niche than it has been, sort of like how grunge was in the 90s and emo/scene was in the 2000s. i think it would help society a lot also.

Yeah I came across a brand called mxdvs that I thought was pretty interesting blend of some of the stronger subcultures.
