I have lost all my teeth on three right side so far. And some on the left. I have lots if issues with them due to an autoimmune disease and bone loss. I'm so afraid of losing the rest. I can't do false teeth. A retainer or mouth guard makes me gag. I'm terrified of having no teeth.

@@marion8354 There are so many advancements with dentistry. Dentures can be made quite small for the roof of the mouth so they will never touch the back of your mouth. There are places that can do implants and you can make payments on them. When people usually gag it's due to the adhesive they use to keep the denture in place but now they have tape so you don't notice anything. My husband is an oral surgeon in cosmetic dentistry, it's amazing what they have now. Good luck and don't be stressed!

Bob, I think you're going to be really happy that's the route you chose. I'm 50 and had all my uppers pulled about 4 years ago and have a plain old fashioned upper plate. Be sure to keep up with having it relined to fit you properly, and for in between check into a product called denture fit. Nothing in it for me to mention them, just really useful. I don't even do that anymore after my final reline...and I can bite into an apple. I don't think I've met anyone yet that didn't have a hard time with implants. I don't even think about my dentures now, except to take them out at night. They're just my teeth and don't slow me down one bit. It's also nice to smile without being embarrassed. It's an adjustment, but it's also one of the best things I did for myself and would do it again in a heartbeat.

@@kristan40ish we go barefoot as much as we can... lol. We own basically the dead end of the 3 streets of our neighborhood, 3 acres and it’s a better neighborhood of the town. We moved here about 9 years ago, my husband is from Oklahoma, a past Marine and a current first responder. He is a very smart man but when he’s home he’s overhauls and barefoot when he’s out working in the garden, mowing the lawn (lol) feeding the chickens, working on his cars, whatever he’s doing. My girls have always ran barefoot as well and now grown, youngest is 17. At school they have always been looked at as outsiders because of this. We live in one of the nicest neighborhoods, have a nice place, perfect yard, kids wear name brand clothes but because we chose to run barefoot on our property we pay way to much in taxes for we are outsiders!!! Our town has a population of less than a 1,000 people, our best store is Walmart and it’s 20 miles away! What makes them better than us? The bullying has gotten so bad my oldest 2 dropped out of school and my youngest I had to pull out and put in a small private school so she could get her education. My middle one decided this year as a new mom to also go to private school to get her diploma and did but my oldest is to old to go back now. Recently my wife left me, and I have found that it is a huge hindrance in the dating scene. My sacrifice has become a burden, but still even at my lowest points, I take pride in the sacrifice

I lost my teeth when I was 26 due to Lupus and the medication I was on for the Lupus. I feel more comfortable without my teeth most of the time because the teeth hurts my gums. When I come to see ya play- I'll take mine out and see what they have to say then. Some many people talk down to people who are different. Everyone has a flaw in their body somewhere. I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 multiple myeloma and had to have emergency spine surgery that left a huge scar down the entire middle of my back from the bottom of my neck down to my belt line. In addition to the two 18 inch titanium rods screwed into my vertebrae, I had to undergo intense chemo therapy that little did i know, would effect my teeth and will most likely leave me toothless within the next few years. I did not choose any of this, it just fell onto my lap out of the clear blue sky. Despite all of this, I am proud of who I am and am just glad to be on the right side of the dirt. I know some day its gonna be the death of me and ive made my peace with that, but in the mean time im gonna live my life and make every single day count. I get down on myself sometimes because of the way i look, and your video made me feel like i am ready to make peace with that as well. Thank you, Spoon Lady...may God bless your beautiful soul.
