It is very annoying how modern boxing fans are as soon as a fighter has a loss they are bum. If Ali was around today and lost to Frazier they'd be talking about retirement. That he'd only had easy fights before then. Whereas back then a loss meant very little as it was based on performance in the ring not your win-loss ratio. Hype job? How many heavyweights have done that? He made a silly mistake in the first round, got whacked, and lost his head for the rest of the fight. And yes, he clearly doesn't like aggressive fighters coming at him. I'm happy to call this one a bad night in the office. For me, if he wants to continue fighting, he really needs to get the rematch on. Fair play to Dubois - what a guy! Love his aggressive confidence. He's maybe the third best heavyweight boxer of his generation (possibly even second), a two time world champion, on top of being an Olympic champion and having traincars of money. No matter what he does next, it won't make him any less great. Apart from Fury, for UK supremacy and for the money, there isn't anyone really left for him to fight. I really don't understand the hate he gets, provided the many spectacular fights he's given everyone over the years and, apart from Kanyeing Usyk after that second fight, he's not been an unpleasant person, at least not to my knowledge or standards.

One thing I’ve noticed with AJ is that he gets overconfident after a period of success. Like when he outboxed Andy Ruiz in the rematch he expected himself to outbox Usyk. Another example is when he dominated Wallin and Nganou, he thought he could walk through Dubois, not taking into account Dubois’s ability, hunger and will. I back AJ if he was to rematch Dubois. He knows what Dubois is capable of and can rectify the mistakes he made last fight against him. He deserves another shot at the title 💥.

7:44 every. Single . One of those is a nightmare for AJ. Imo he needs to avoid Agit like the plague. Bakole too. Too young. Too big. To good of hands. AJ doesn’t do well when he’s getting tagged and Bakole would touch him more than anyone else as far as volume goes. Whyte too much of a live dog. After seeing that Dubois fight he’d likely adjust and just be a menace on the inside and likely get through. But this is likely the fight he might pursue hardest but i don’t think that’s wise right now. Yeah go your point zhang is just not a real option. Yes he lost to Parker but I don’t think there’s any scenario Parker wins a rematch. It felt like Oscar vs Trinidad. Sure Oscar loss but it didn’t feel like a loss to me anecdotally. Zhang sat Parker down literally whenever he wanted. Relying on his power, it’s what delivered for him atleast. Wilder is the first to make. Though I’m not sure deontay’s team will allow that. It’s a huge final payday but imo I see him now as post pride glory run Bob Sapp… a big hitter turned punching bag turned worker paying his bills. I’ve always thought AJ smashes ole center line wilder. He does well with guys who aren’t complicated, regardless of their power. But that’s a lot of damage for wilder to eat at this point in his career and we know for a fact his team will turn down a boat load of cash if the matchup is wrong. Perfect fight for AJ hence why I don’t see it. Unfortunately it’ll be Dillian and that’s far too risky for AJ. He has everything to lose vs a hyper motivated brawler who senses weakness and wants to even the score from a decade ago. She has been kinder to dilllian than AJ imo. I’d buy the fight don’t get me wrong and take another underdog payday on Whyte I just would hate to see AJ’s confidence take a huge hit I’m not sure he recovers from should he lose to Whyte. Net I agree this list is his most viable options but Whyte and Wilder are his only real options. The former being likely and the latter being preferred but unlikely to happen.

Joyce beat Daniel & Parker in dominant fashion, Zhang beat Joyce but lost to Parker, Parker has a win over ruiz but a lost to whyte, joshua has a win over ruiz (and loss), Whyte & Parker + amateur wins over Zhang. Joshua just lost to Daniel. The top 15 is very competitive and you are bound to lose if you fight the best consistently, Fury has zero fights over anyone in this list is a big factor in his unbeaten career.

All those people now calling AJ a bum must have statistically been the very same people who were AJ fan boys filling up the comments section slagging off Tyson Fury and everyone else.... Just a sea of casuals without a clue...drifting with the tides of fortune. I always knew AJ was glass chin bum waiting to be found out again.

You Brits gotta give it up. I feel for you. AJ has always, physically, been a good boxer. But he’s riddled with insecurities, fear, and trepidation as soon as it gets rough. I can’t blame him. Standing in front of these big boys trading hands is crazy level intense. And you’ve got to have the mindset. Please don’t push him to take on more heavy hitters. He can still walk and talk, think, and have a life after he’s given us years of great fights and intrigue. Not to mention basically saving the sport!

Look at him throw the straight against Francis, lead hand by his waist. Issues like this should be addressed early on in training and unfortunately it’s a bit late to fix them now to where he’s gonna keep his hand up instinctively. Correct your mistakes even if you win because someone will come along and make you pay for them. Everyone makes mistakes like this but the great boxers tend to not make them almost every fight.

I can't see AJ beating Wilder, even though he's not been good of late because AJ for some reason can't defend a left hook. If you watch through his past fights, every time he's been knocked down its nearly always a hook/cross coming from the left. And Wilder would take his head off with his left hook.
