At 9:10 and a lot of people enjoy the chubby 'Rocky' narrative and I like it too, however: People should know that Andy Ruiz was considered an absolutely solid Top 10 well-respected heavyweight by pretty much all heavyweight and boxing people. Consider this: his only loss was a 'majority decision' to Parker (who'd recently done 12 with AJ) and many arguing Ruiz was the better man that night. One of the reasons he was chosen to replace was because he'd previously wrecked top HW prospect Dimitrenko who, interestingly, has almost the same size, weight and height as AJ. Hence Ruiz was still in fighting shape, took little damage and was prepared for a tall big guy. Again, find any boxing people talking about Ruiz Jr before he was ever picked to fight AJ and nearly all of them only talk about about how strong Ruiz is, how he had THE fastest hands in the division, how he had a crazy strong chin, how good he was in sparring etc etc. Andy is well known to be a very good technical boxer-boxer. Andy isn't even that short, he's 6'2 (188 cm) but yes, his large potato-shaped body is fat and funny. He didn't land a single punch either, he repeated punched AJ's head and guts in, outboxed and out moved AJ for 7 rounds.
