A Livna is not the complete opposite of an anvil. In order for it to be the complete opposite, its insides also have to be inverted. Which means you'll have to "flip normals" (if you are using blender) once you've turned it inside-out. Which will fix it so it won't work. In order to make a correct livna, you have to make it the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of an anvil. 180-degree-pitch, 180-degree-yaw, 180-degree roll and finally, BEFORE all of this, turn its inner planes (pun wasn't intended at first) inside-out. Oh and make sure the vertices are in the opposing places. I expect you to fully understand what I've just said, because you excel at maths. Don't fail this.

I'm pretty sure there's probably a workaround to make the livna follow the player in all directions. For example, I was trying to recreate Pizzaface from Pizza Tower in Doom, and I had to call A_SkullAttack every frame instead of A_Chase because the Lost Soul, which uses A_SkullAttack, is capable of moving forward in its current direction.

Livnas are great for salvaging items and breaking them down into the base components. Now what if you break down 1 wood plank? 1 stick? What about dirt and other raw resources? What happens when you salvage an enchanted book? Do you get the enchantment as a spell to use? Only Phoenix can answer these

Enchanting a tool on a livna should make said tool permenantly upside down, therefore damaging you isntead of a mob because you're holding the "blade" part of the tool. (Basically doing the exact opposite.)

To answer the question in the title, it falling upwards or downwards is all relative to the onlooker. If you were the anvil, you’d be falling downwards. If you were just a normal player, like penix, you’d say it’s elevating in an upwards direction. If you were a player upside down and falling, like the anvil, you’d say that the anvil is falling downward.

A normal anvil falls down, because it is affected by gravity, and therefore since a livna is the inverse of an anvil it should not be affected by gravity and will just float.

Floating generation isn't intentional anywhere else, and it's the only place where anything takes advantage of it either with the gravity-defying structures of the cities and ships. Whatever the End's void is (aside from the only canon one, since it's the only one meant to be accessible to the player without creative or exploits), it's providing the gravity to the things on all the islands, but the islands themselves remain entirely immune to it.
