Apparently, software/dev work is great for autistic people; there's quite a lot to like. "Working with computers instead of people" is a trap. Here's why.. Become an autisti-cat at / autisticaf

In Australia, in the area where I grew up we had Yellow for Garbage, Blue for Recycling, and Red for Green Waste (it more recently changed to Green everywhere). Apparently pretty much every other suburb/area was Yellow for Recycling, Red for Garbage, and Green for Green Waste. I first found out that they were different because the colours of the bins at the train stations were the Yellow for Recycling and Red for Garbage which I thought that was confusing because I was used to Yellow being garbage.

Missed the full livestream. As an IT engineer (DB, *nix, storage, and Azure stuff) of over 30 years, it's interesting to hear your perspective. :)

We say it in Canada too. Or the LottoBus effect, what happens when that key person wins the lottery or gets hit by bus.

If it makes you feel better, I've been coding since before 2002 - but agile and the associated mgmt changes/ constant crisis mode burned me out. The industry is kind of a mess now, I feel.

I wish I wasn't so elsewhere when this was live. Been in my own zone lately. Sorry
