I owned an H1 500 new in 1972. It was the fastest bike made until the H2 750 came along. Because of the H1's seemingly-anemic 500cc and terrible sound (bucket full of marbles), I was able to take some money from those with Honda CB750, Norton and Harleys, who all believed they were fast. Both the H1 and H2 handled and braked terribly, but that was pretty common for the day. They earned their "widow maker" pet name. BTW, the Z1 900 came out before the 750, not after.

3 cylinders 3 exhaust pipes. On 2 stroke bikes the exhaust is very important to how well the engine runs. 4 stroke bikes do well with 4 into one exhausts etc. On a 2 stroke bike the exhaust has to have some back pressure which helps to draw in the the fuel/air mixture into the cylinder from the carb at the same time allowing most but not all of the exhaust to escape through the pipe. So with each cylinder getting its own exhaust pipe it makes sure each cylinder gets the right amount of fuel/air. There is no valves just a intake port near the bottom of the cylinder and a exhaust port near the top of the cylinder. If you look at most 2 stroke bikes you may also notice how the exhaust pipes on most of them are fat/pregnant in the middle. That is to help create that back pressure the engine needs to run just right. The shape of the exhaust is very important to the 2 strokes. No running straight pipes like lots of Harley guys do. I have owned many 2 stroke street bikes in my time. I am no expert. I am sure some mechanics etc. would explain this better. I still have and ride a 1975 Suzuki t500 2 stroke. I like it because It is different than most anything else on the road and is still most importantly FUN!

Id actually like to talk to someone who has an economics degree about economics. I feel like theyd get too caught up about the finer details, some of which i do wanna know just for a better understanding. But the real question, as a carpenter, would be, how do you design a city from an economic perspective? Gas stations are terrible to put on the corners of a cross street, straight roads cause road hypnosis. The fastest distance betwen two points is a straight line. I genuinely want to solve this problem.
