Currently own a 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT 1000 cc that I have had for 20 years. Once took me 120 miles on one cylinder at highway speed when one spark plug wire crapped out on a Sunday morning with no shops open. At almost 70 years old it has gotten too heavy to maneuver in and out of situations. Purchased a 2013 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone at more than 100 pounds less wet weight. Absolutely love it. Will stay with Moto Guzzi for the rest of my riding life. I have owned BMW, Laverda, Ducati, Moto Morini, Triumph, BSA, Zundapp, Indian, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Cagiva and loved them all for different reasons, but the fact that I can physically handle the weight of a bike that will cruise (illegally) at 85-90 mph for as long as I need, looks good, is reliable and affordable and unique, why shop anywhere else?- -Mike Battle

Friggin love my bonneville. Had a total beginner like me riding around with no experience at all, hadnt even ridden a bicycle in years, in TWO DAYS. Though now I wish it had a bit better gearing. 4.3 grand at 80 mph is a little lackluster, lol

Suzuki boulevard c50 is an amazing beginner bike. I got mine the day after getting my endorsement and haven't looked back. Has enough power to hit the interstate but not so big where you trash yourself. I am 6'1" though so I don't have any problems keeping both feet on the ground and keeping the bike upright.

Fun fact; the lawnmower shown at 7:49 was a real thing you could buy from Honda and originally came with a VTR 1000/Superhawk v-twin. Bonkers.

Just got a 06' Suzuki gz 250 I found running for a grand. Been a long time, but as a 5' 6" guy, it definitely fits me great, getting back to it has been fun and easy. Especially with this gutless bike but I love it.

I actually got a Street Twin as my first bike and I honestly couldn't be happier. I always get lots of compliments on it and I ride to work everyday. Go check one out if have the chance and I'm sure you'll like it.

What about an old Honda dominator or Kawasaki KLE 500? I think you could get them for about 800-1200$.
