Interesting info and thank you for clarifying the type. I have a lot of these and so true, hard to kill since it is totally fine with neglect outdoors. I will say that while it covers ground well, it is still no match for crabgrass. So as long as crabgrass stays out, it makes a nice bunch of flowering plants.
