*I have a pair of rustic black nubuck Blundstone chelsea boots! The ones you restored look much better with a midsole and lug sole! That's how Blundstones should be! It makes them much more easily resolable. Fantastic work!*

I am actually in the process of doing this same process as my very first real boot project with the tools and materials I've been accumulating for several months. It's good to know someone else has done it, and what they'll look like. Resolable thereafter too!

They are even better than original new ones from Blundstone! I wish I did not throw away my old pair of blundnies and get fixed like these!
@xoladinhoaltice91223 жыл бұрын
I watched the entire video amazed and taken by the amount of detail, skill and time he put into fixing those boots, hell those boots look even better then when they rolled off the production line. Amazing stuff I just fixed my own boots in my country and the guy I went to messed it up, the boots where comfortable before I took them to him but my socks got wet on rainy days and when the boots came back the leaking stopped but comfort got sacrificed and I prefer comfortability over leaking bcos it does not rain daily.

That's a lovely job you've done on those. Thanks for posting this - I find it quite inspiring. Inspiring enough that I might just try it myself on a pair of Blundstones that are pretty much dead but which I am too attached to for me to simply get rid of. Canadian too and an OLFA user as well, eh ? Fantastique et superbe. Merci.

This is excellent workmanship. Please refer to the comment I made in the video entitled," Bespoke boot making at Atelier Buck" Congratulations once again, for such dedication, perseverance, and excellent workmanship, where no corners are cut to hurry the process, nor using inferior materials in making or restoring a good pair of boots.

I loved watching you bring life back to this pair of old trusty boots. The nails you hammer in either side of the Vibram logo, do you have to snip them off inside the boot? I have always enjoyed looking after my boots and shoes, being a highly skilled cobbler would be a lovely job to have. What cream did you appply to the boots at the end?

*Oh I'm absolutely sure the guy spoke with the customer to make sure it's ok to make them black. Otherwise, he wouldn't have done it. He did a great job though!*

@@JinsKookieJams So you work there or just assuming? I can remember i put in a pair of expensive, square toed dress shoes to be resoled. I SPECIFICALLY told the guy to NOT round the toe end of the new soles & maintain the square end. Have a guess what the dumb pr!ck did. The shoes just didnt look right & i never wore them again before eventually ending up in the bin.

I believe everything in life is so fast forward and quick and instant now a days that we have to slow down, especially for artistic work and already putting my work that takes several hours in to 15 minutes is actually fast forward. Have a good day and try some slowliving in stead of speeding up ;)
