I landed on this video 3 minutes ago, and listened to an intelligent, talented artist who has her own great music - run through 5 bands and albums that all sounded great to me. As much as I'd like to think the early 2000s were yesterday, they aren't and certain things, like tech for example, are moving much faster now than ever, so it's not really shocking that people my age or younger consider 20 years to be a long time ago. Landlines in every home, internet access was not a guarantee, CDs were still the most popular form of music, and people still watched Much Music/MTV for new music. Again, not even remotely surprising that a Gen Z would consider that archaic.
