It is a sad reality. Coaching companies are booming with the number of students increasing year by year. But nobody is paying attention to the stagnant number of seats in higher education especially in MBBS and IITs, the scenario of PG medical seats are the worse. Instead of spending huge sum of money on coaching the people should demand higher number of seats from their government so that the demand is met with the higher number of students aspiring for it.

You are absolutely right. The other problem is these coaching centres are making the competition tough , because every student knows the most probable questions and it takes away the fun aspects of education. Competition in entrance exams doesn't lead to excellence. India hasn't been able to produce a single Nobel laureate in science since 1930( CV Raman)

Quality of teachers matter a lot in edtech companies because that is the important USP of such company. In case of Byju's, Byju himself used to teach and he was good at it. His partner, Santosh was very good in teaching verbal and according to me, was more important to Byju. However, a few years later I saw that Santosh was no longer associated with Byjus and that quality of teaching in Byju has declined.

I think the last problem you talked about ie Alakh Pandey himself, this is really a very good point. Bcoz Byju Ravendran and unacademy founders were also very very famous during their time , they had to book full auditoriums to give lectures. Same like Alakh Pandey. And now since they are not teaching from many years , hardly new generation students know about them & they are no longer star teachers. I think Alakh Pandey knows this problem & will be planning to step in teaching again.

I am currently a student at Allen. I have some observations regarding this coaching scenario. Before 2 months, My Physics Teacher at Allen Nagpur left Allen and joined PW. The new teacher came who is not that experienced, I was facing problem in Physics. But I bought Arjuna JEE batch in PW for Just 1950Rs(using coupon and 2nd October offer). Physics Wallah will also face the same problems Byjus is currently facing after a point of time. I have seen byjus grow up from one seminar taking teacher to a taboo company. PW is following a similar trajectory. The only difference is that PW has a case study to see while Byjus made the untapped market. If focus in on small steps and strong broad base, it can also reach new heights.

One thing that we as Indians aren't able to overcome is the obsession over exams. Exam is just a medium, here we treat exams as aims. Aims should be like understanding the subjects for the sake of making contributions in the relevant field, not cracking an exam. I don't understand why it's so hyped. We aren't making progress in proportion to how obsessed we are with these exams. Something is definitely wrong. We need to learn for the sake of making things better, not for the sake of cracking an exam. I thought online education would revolutionize education, but we're doing exactly the same thing. These Institutes are not encouraging students to learn science, they are encouraging students to crack exams. They need to point the heads of their students towards learning science, not towards IIT. The same applies to civil services, point the head of students towards CIVIL SERVICES, not UPSC as an exam. Point heads towards medical science, not NEET. Tumare kitab padhne ka motivation, learning hona chyn exam nai yar.

The basis of Indian education system is to squash every possible information into your brain and teach you the depth of none... This gradually results in the form of an everlasting consequence which is the death of a child's Creativity and Experimentation skills.... This system doesn't qualify you on the basis of your creativity or intellect ...rather it just checks "How much of the information that you have learnt , can you vomit on the answer sheet in a limited time"..... He literally is like a god for me, i am in his current batch of class 11 jee ( Arjuna 2.0) which i literally got for 3000 and not only that I got 3 batches for 3000 and teachers like Ashish Aggarwal, shivendu mishra, amitabh sharma and many many more are teaching, they are like one of the best teachers in india.... I saw akash was charging 4 lakhs, that too only online.... I just hope pw can survive for at least 50 years... And God bless alakh sir an whole pw team 🙏🙏

I was a neet dropper in 2017, I didn't understand anything in physics chemistry in my coaching, then i started watching alakh sir's videos , I didn't even knew, how to balance chemical equations. Physics wallah actually bought such a revolution and it blows my mind that physics wallah has helped so much student understand concept which they don't get in school. I am ex-student of PW I was introduced first time with Pw when I was in class 9 (covid time) and also take batch like udaan in my class 10.The overall experience was best, secured 95% in 10 with batch of cost only 1000 Due to my experience I take addmisson in pw offline for class 11 in my hometown for jee. They recently opened there offline center there and to be very honest with you all experience was terrible classes were full and suffocated even AC's are not working and top of that my experience with teachers are worst. They just flex that they had teachers form ex-allen, aakash etc.. but in reality doubt counter teacher are send to clases , management is totally messed up Finally after month of this...I transferred myself to there kota centre and if my problems was there big here enormous is small word 1) Shifted me last phase 4 (june batch) even tho i take addmisson in phase 2 2) They send there best teacher in first month when batch start but after it shift them in online courses ( I can littreally name the teachers for proof).... other teachers shifted to another center. 3) Now my 11 was wasted...I try to mend it with there online courses as new teachers are littreally form doubt counters 4) In starting I enrolled myself in two year program with 50%scholarship cost me around 70k but you see after seeing this all drama I obviously don't want it again in class 12 so I decided to drop out and wanted refund from my class 12 fees but they didn't give my money back and say you should have done these things within 2 months after taking Addmisson ( very honest with I try it during my transfer time but they say we will look upon these after you done your class 11) the best example how there management work 4) They don't care about student ( hamre test pre set dates par hote they don't care agar syllabus hua hai ki nhi bas test dene baith jao ham ne teachers se kaha but unhone kaha ki agar ham syllabus time se kardege bhi toh tumhe kuch smajh nhi aayega( which is true)bhai rotational hame 9 lec meh padhya gaya joki pure 1 month's chalti har jagh Bacche collectively management ke pas bhi jate but koi response nhi hota unka agar koi hota toh woh imply nhi hota Finally meh 12 allen se kar rhi and experience with teachers and management is good "PW is emotion is not true because they are just playing with emotion "
