I’m a 73y/o boomer; my son played guitar in a SD cover band in SF, & turned me on to this song and Story of my Life. I think Ness is a great frontman, guitarist & songwriter. He &SD are Largely unknown and under appreciated by my generation. But IMO they play straight ahead hard rock, and the punk is not overstated, they should be played on indie radio so old people can hear them while they drive

Bands like Social D brought us right into the late 90s back in the first years of that amazingly transcendent decade! Another great & fantastically original band from the early 90s that helped pull much of the musical firmament of that groundbreaking epoch deep into the late 90s such was the amazingly cutting edge transcendence of Social Distortion, with this superlative masterpiece being finely emblematic of that early 90s pioneering hybridization of Hard Rock, Alt Rock & Punk, 3 different styles that Social D could weave together seamlessly & skillfully, seminal as that super band was. This is pure, rare, straight to your soul,,Social D does not get the recognition it deserves. The guitars growl at you,not menacingly, but invite you into the Lions Den. The drums in the background are sometimes very near, and then far away in the jungle, somewhere out there in the shadows,,and if thats not enough,,the sepia tones, sometimes black and white starkness, stripped down visuals of it all is not overdone or pretentious...Great work Social D
