Richie Valens got his start at this Elks Club in The San Fernando Valley LA. It seemed appropriate. This video got shelved , but it shows the process. MTV was huge at the time & a good video & the right connections could get you some airplay , lucky for us we were connected with the New York guys , Tommy Mattola Epic,CBS Records who hooked us up .
