Mike Ness gets pissed at some idiot throwing beer on stage at Green Bay concert 08/08/10. You can see the stage hand cleaning up behind Ness.

I've seen Ness do this many times. This is a band I've watched and even toured with for decades. Ness hates people throwing shit at him. Even if he's not really going to fight, at least he's got the right message: Don't come to their show and disrespect them. Fuck off! They didn't ride a tour bus for 6 weeks to stand their quietly and let a coward throw something from the shadows. Ya he's only about 5'10" but he's not a wuss. Lee Ving does the same thing, seen that too.

My bass teacher once saw a band and there was some 13 year old prick throwing stuff at them, so the lead singer dragged him up on stage, stood aside and let the audience throw everything they could at the kid lol

Smart dad having you wear ear-plugs! I saw them in 2007, and Mike saw a little boy in the crowd and he had him come up on stage and introduced him to everyone, ahd he said "You have the coolest dad ever. He took you to see Social D....on a school night!"

Whats the name of that place in Reseda, I think they called it the country club, the first time they played Ball And Chain there, Mike introduced it as Take Away...and there was a Les Paul sitting center stage before they came out, it was a bright color that seemed to be goldish redish, just bright and when they came out, it was Denis's guitar, Mike's was black. Hmmm

@brucrufan I saw your vid. You were much closer to the idiot. I saw a couple of beers fly up on the stage but didn't realize what was happening at first when the song ended. I was waiting for a big ending and we got it. LOL. Other than that, it was a good show. My first SD show, I play in a SD cover band from Wausau called Cool Hand. Had a really good time there.

Darren P I was at this show, I am in the video actually, smiling and nodding to my brother at the very end. Also, have seen Social D more than 20 times and like you, never saw him get like this. The dude who threw the beer was pissed tight before the show even started. There was no smoking in the casino complex so I ran into him outside looking to bum smokes off people. Total douchbag.
@decadepasts12 жыл бұрын
@W44Y Tell that to the guitar player who is kicking your ass outside the show because you fried his amp with your beer because you can't control yourself. One of the biggest complaints from punk bands from the eighties was that sometimes punk crowds had the wrong idea about how bands should be treated. In Europe audiences were known for spitting on bands but that shit came to an end real quick here in the states. Try spitting on Henry Rollins and telling him it's cool cause it's punk ha

Yes. No disrespect , but those arms look flabby as hell. Plus, he is small, and his body is not athletic. I am a trained fighter, not trying to sound arrogant, but you kind of can tell if someone can fight just by looking at them. 90% of the time youre correct.

@tylerrulezd00d Although I can't say it was your friend or not, the video clearly shows the stage hand picking up 2 beer glasses and wiping up the floor. I play in bands and have played big stages also. When things come at the stage, you tend to know where it's coming from. On the other hand, with all the bright lights maybe Ness thought it was him and in reality it was the person next to him. Maybe you?...lol. There were 4 cops talking to him outside after the incident. Don't know what about.

it's not punk to have shit thrown at you. that was a common misconception started by the press. i mean come on would you throw something at someone like henry rollins or something. no cause if u go to a concert u want to hear music. plus henry rollins could probably fuck up most peoples day. it's normal to be pissed at having shit thrown at you. the real tradegy is someone wasted a perfectly good beer.

yeah sure maybe thats fine when he was 17 but mike is somewhere around 47 in this video and what close to 50 year old wants to get beer thrown at them? yeah that was acceptable around 30 years ago..

Samherman they get shit cos Mike actually stands for something and calls out bigots. We have been dealing with bigoted assholes coming to their shows to pick fights aince the 80s.

Mainly because he's a hypocrite and a shell of what he used to be. Also, most people don't like being preached at by PC-Bros, accused of racism, and so on.

Looking at the audience and band, everyone was probably just jealous that there was someone in the room with enough energy to throw a beer.

I could post a comment about NICKELBACK and the lame audiences of Canada...you stole the magic.
@simpl40413 жыл бұрын
@b2l4evr well, there is no such thing as Audience & stage. The audience can be on stage and can define a good or a bad show. So what are u talking about? How did u come up with this RULE anyway!!! as far as everyone is safe and nobody is to be offended why should we be limited to any rules when having a good time? Why should you show more respect to a band than other people in the same show? THERE are NO masters Mike is a favourite, but there r no excuses for him being a jerk on stage.
