how can he apologize when he is not sorry? You are missing the point of the conflict. Both of them are moving in different directions with different strategies. In my point of view, eduardo was completely lost trying to do what he thought was best without consulting anyone else. Even if he was CFO and a good guy from the start, he completely blew the opportunity to be part of the startup by not being there and stubborn to consider other opportunities. The movie still makes it sad to see how bad it went for him, when he was always the good guy and with parker being such an antagonistic character. What a good dramatization, love this movie.

He was gonna show Eduardo the wall but didn't. Notice how he's whispering to the programmer in the background while he is supposed to be showing Eduardo, probably telling him to hold off on the wall. Because Mark probably changed his mind and didn't want to disclose such sensitive information to Eduardo too early because it could be used against him in court for non-compete purposes. Or else he would have urged Eduardo once more to see the wall.
