Good Morning. Chuck and Paige. It is lovely you all look after each other. I really hope it all works out ok. It has been great having Daz along for your adventures. Top bloke. It is good to get things wrong, even if you know something as it spikes your comments section. 555. You are good to drive the miles you do. At least you have some relief with the toll roads. I would pay to avoid sitting in traffic, too. Cool retro TV. Daz 555. Nice place to stay. Your food looked good. Great to see Samantha's smiling face. And happy you could all catch the train back to the hotel, that would have been a long journey back in a car with all the traffic. Another nice-looking meal. I love the banter. Thanks for taking us along. Happy Sunday.

Hi Chuck the Miami was my R&R hotel in 1971- was pre assigned. A group of us attached to a USNavy squadron came up from Danang Airbase. The original Thermae was in front on Sukhumvit. Taxis from there to Thai Heaven nightclub on Petchburi Rd. every night. Of course, a much different Bangkok then

Nice1 I think it is kinda cute that you are carefully optimistic, equally sceptical to Bangkok still but It looks like you do enjoy this town more for every visit. You chose to stay in a great area I would say. The Miami is recently renovated and I heard it is decent to stay in these days; before it was a dirty, old place. I was actually surprised that Margarita Storm was that good, though. I normally avoid those restaurants facing Sukhumvit road since most of them are tourist traps but the food looked really good and I didn't know about the upper floor. I had a few beers there on the seats outside but never actually ate there. Also, it is so sweet of you helping Samantha the way you do. Thumbs up!

Golden Beach Hotel. That's where we stayed on my one and only trip to Cha Am. Was surprised enough to see you showing it straight-on on your beach road walk during your southbound trip through Cha Am. And even more surprised when that's where you chose to stay on the northbound trip! It's an ALMOST really nice hotel! 😂 I liked it and would gladly stay again. Loved the room. (10th floor, left side). But I really wish someone would spend a couple of hundred thousand (or million) baht sprucing up the OLDNESS of it. Great architectural design...... but dated! So Much Potential! When we were there, there was a really nice greenhouse-type seating area on the top floor, overlooking the strand. But as I recall, it was kind of ratty and unappealing. Darn shame! 😂 Every floor has big windows on the far end, overlooking the view. Seems like they'd want to capitalize on this more! 😂 Great location with good facilities, and true greatness not that far out of reach! 😂 I do truly like how it is now. But I hope they'll take a stab at greatness, too! I'd love to see them achieve THAT kind of success! (I recall being very impressed with their breakfast buffet, also, but you didn't show it. Can't show everything, of course. Or maybe you weren't as impressed with it? Er......lukewarm everything, as Thai breakfast buffets tend to be? 😂 ) Cheers!

Hi Chuck! Neat to see you staying in an area of Bangkok my wife, Nok, and I previously stayed back in 2007 due to its relatively close proximity to the U.S. embassy. Nana BTS was our hop-on/hop-off station. Best wishes for getting Samantha squared away. Hopefully, my wife and I can relocate to Thailand to her hometown in Kampheang Phet in a couple of years, build a house on her land, and live that life of leisure, travel, and relaxation. We hope to meet you both someday.

If Samantha has hers passport and husband's first and last name remembers the state and city she was married in she can request a copy of her marriage certificate from the courthouse in that jurisdiction. .. Without going there. I lived in CA but married in Colorado and just made a request/application to the courthouse. Even that long ago they should have all that computerized now.
@notime2bsad27 күн бұрын
My thought after considering that option and asking her if she new where she obtained her Marriage license was, After trying to contact them and if they can still obtain it after 55 years it would take some time to get them to find the document, and mail is very slow to arrive here no matter how you send it. When it arrives in Thailand it takes some time. After not receiving funds for months now, this was easy enough to do as you will see in the next few videos....Having legal assistance here goes a lot quicker.

Hi Chuck! It seems that Paige will eventually have the same issue as Samantha when it comes to Social Security payments. Paige’s Thai passport name doesn’t match her US passport name.
@notime2bsad27 күн бұрын
Paige has a bank account in America that she has online access to and can easily transfer money. She doesn't need an account in Thailand with her American name. Samantha did not set that up before she moved permanently to Thailand and thought she could do it the old fashion way. We will fix this as we already understand how to send money overseas
