Loving your videos, honestly relate to them so much! Up til now I’ve specifically only watched vids by women with ADHD as we’re told we experience it so differently.....don’t really know what my point is haha, but thank you!

I'm the same, was always described as shy when I was young and afraid of saying something stupid or going blank mid sentence. 44 years of that before diagnosis and I now suffer badly from social anxiety. Talking to people I don't know or making phone calls is really stressful and I feel ill when I know I have to do it.

From another guy in the uk, i really thank you for this video. I have spent my entire life feeling 'different' and socially awkward/anxious and it is really comforting hearing these words that resonate deeply to me, from another regular guy and i just wanted to let you know i really appreciate that i found your channel :) i just got diagnosed recently and am about to start vyvanse/elvanse

Your videos have helped me so much because you describe the effects of ADHD so well. I feel EXACTLY the same as you regarding the internal noise. I'm stating ADHD meds early next year and I can't wait. Keep up the good work, your videos are really helpful!

I have plans on socializing. I never get around to it. I'm too busy, too many interests and hobbies. By the time I'm done running around I just want to relax.

Hi mate absolutely love your videos . I’m 49 and was diagnosed with ADD a couple of days ago . I’ve searched KZbin as you do , came across your channel and omg it’s literally like everything that you’ve said has described me to a tee . Where as the majority of ADHD videos on here will have just a few similar symptoms that I struggle with. I’m still trying to process all this at the moment and it’s like you are describing my thoughts and what actually goes on in my head . Can totally relate . Keep the videos coming mate as they are so helpful . Thanks again 😊👍🏼

Hi David, Thanks so much! I’m super glad you’re benefiting from the videos, they’ll be back very soon - I’ve been busy moving house and have fractured my ribs, so I’m taking a little break to recover 😅 All the best mate.

Diagnosed a couple of days ago, and wow. You've described so much of exactly how I feel in ways I've always struggled to verbalize. Thanks for sharing.

I stay to myself for this reason! I’m scared I will say something stupid or not make any sense so I really don’t talk to people that I don’t know or am not comfortable around. I find myself stuttering or getting my words all mixed up and make a total fool of myself sometimes.

Really enjoy these videos. Can really relate to everything you've experienced - Thanks for being so honest. I lean into my inattentiveness when I feel comfortable around people, meaning that I try to riff with people about nothing in particular. Any upcoming videos?

I’ve just seen a much better looking version of myself on a video I didn’t know I’d made - everything you’ve said is what’s happened to me. This is the 3rd one I’ve watched without fast forwarding through or kind of listening while looking for something else. I start Elvanse on Monday! Thanks for making this video mate 👍🏻

Stupid question maybe but how do you go about getting medication? I’m undiagnosed but am struggling really bad. My mind won’t shut up and I need it to be able to think and construct sentences clearer
@ollieedward643 Жыл бұрын
No question is stupid! So there's two parts to my answer - the first of which is a question. Do you plan on seeking a diagnosis in order to get medication? Or are you wanting to source it by other means? I'm only here for help with getting medication through trusted means, so i cant help otherwise my friend. Secondly, if it is a trusted route you'd like to get medication through, i have a couple of videos on my channel about how i got my diagnoses. I outline all the associated costs, timeframes, paperwork etc - so check it out on my channel if you want.

So, if you go through your GP to get a referral to the NHS ADHD clinic - it is entirely free. It will take ~1-2 years (depending on the waiting lists in your are). Alternatively, there is a ‘right to choose’ scheme available (psychiatry-uk.com/right-to-choose/), but I’m not clued up enough with this! Hope that helps.
@sanpawabas3 жыл бұрын
I got referred via right to choose in December, got diagnosed in January. So it was quite quick for me. All been free.
