People want GUARANTEED happiness in life, but that is a metaphysical impossibility. Human life REQUIRES productive work. Productive work REQUIRES the mind. The mind REQUIRES freedom in order to flourish. Today, most people seem to flee from the responsibility of thinking; of using the mind productively. Then they choose force in the realm of Politics in an attempt to compensate for their life's deficits.
@maddhatter35642 ай бұрын
only correction, Humans need struggle, as all animals do. Without struggle we make our own struggles (environment,Trans, "systemic racism claims"). Inner cities are welfare hubs yet in the absence of financial struggle the GANG culture arrises.
@joshuagould5482 ай бұрын
@maddhatter3564 Nah, that wasn't a correction, and your addition only confuses things. "Struggle"? What's struggle? What kind of struggle? What's considered a day's work, might be a struggle for others. I ENJOY thinking, but that seems to be a struggle for others. Also, it's not the absence of financial struggle that causes gangs to arise. It's their sheer lack of self-esteem, the inability to CREATE value, and so they resort to stealing the values of others (resorting in a short life, or a short freedom). Again, humans REQUIRE the use of their minds to survive, specifically, a PRODUCTIVE USE of their minds.

Being a kid, a dependent, is socialism so most people started there. Marketing? It is so much better to take from someone else than to risk your own work and capital. If it were sustainable the whole animal kingdom would be socialist rather than competitive, and sometimes the natural world is - oxygen saltwater and sunlight are usually 'state' supplied. But that socialism is different because the sun, ocean, and air have no profit motive, but those in government do.
