As a lifetime athlete, active person with extensive body building experience, I no longer "go to the gym" No longer really "think about" body weight squats. I LOVE THIS. Toning oneself, with an ideal compound body movement as the core. Squats always have been, always will be THE MOVEMENT for reaching deep within our bodies. For fine motor balance, driving our metabolism, our hormones and entire endocrine system. A great video = evocative start... the lesson, I am at peace with "my process" in this Earth plane.

Namaskar, the motif of the heel as the only vulnerable point on Achilles' body was first encountered by Statius in the first century AD. Thetis dipped Achilles into the waters of the Styx, the river of the underworld, holding his heel. In this way he became invincible except at the heel where his mother held him. Hence the term "Achilles' heel", which is still used today and denotes a "vulnerable point", a "sensitive point". Jay Sri Krsna Hari Om Tat Sat

Divine Indifference / Divine Neutrality. We need judgement to ascertain what is good for us, and what is not. JUDGMENTALISM is where the problem starts: that is the process of putting one up while putting another down. There is a huge difference between being judgmental and using one's skills of judgment.

Regarding comments about high fees at his centers, I been to the ISHA center in Tennessee and books and clothing was rather expensive. Much cheaper on Amazon. No free vegetarian food as advertised or free yoga classes. (Not that we needed any). Staff or volunteers was not enthusiastic in providing info about site and its importance. Personally I don’t think the Sadhguru is aware of what goes on in Tennessee center. Its like if you not a paying student of their classes you treated differently. Well, I've reached the point in my life that I've just about heard it all a dozen times a dozen. This very well presented video is one of them. Ideally, following all of the concepts as presented requires conscious effort initially, and then it all comes naturally. As natural as putting on your shoes or drinking a glass of water or taking a breath. You will never think about doing any of it. Eventually, you will become the guru. You will no longer need to follow but you shall lead. If you're lucky you shall be heard.

I have listened to the guru for a while now and found his wisdom to be most enlightening but I also found his wisdom to be a regurgitation of my grandparents and my parents are here in the West as an African American when you talk about wisdom it comes from somewhere and I find in my own observation for it to come from a people so incredibly disconnected from their Homeland from their natural knowledge from your communication with other black and brown people of the world and forced to mimic other people it is like what is said in the sages to know a thing it must be burnt into you African Americans and black people either were created our current there is no one on the planet that has endured 400 years by 250 years of chattel slavery in the most joyful resilient manner as Africans and especially African Americans and continue to forgive and have a deep sense of humanity under extreme conditions of stress for centuries I would love to make a study in the comparisons of the gurus wisdom of life and the wisdom of Life of African Americans who are facing it just based on internal wisdom which is an eternal spring I'll survival and ability to thrive find it most fascinating and I think somewhat overlooked Africans as a whole magical people this doesn't need to say that no other group has abilities but it is so much in abundance that is what I find so in awe.

I used to squat this way all the time. Now I cannot. I have rheumatoid arthritis which causes extreme inflammation in all of my joints. I can only bend my knees a tiny bit. I started practicing Hatha Yoga when I was 19. Now I am 70. The RA started at age 60. One by one, my abilities diminished. There are many postures now out of my reach. I work through pain to do the most ordinary of things like getting out of bed, showering, dressing. I still drive but I have had days when I could not open my car door because of pain. I must use one of those riding carts at the grocery store. I have an app on my phone that counts how many steps I take in a day. I have a goal of at least a thousand, but some days I just cannot make it. It's even harder because as a yoga practitioner for 40 years, then having to give much of it up, I am aware of what I am losing. That's why I try so hard to keep going with what I can do. Namaste everyone!

I understand you very well when you spoke of emotions, and how they cloud your cognitive senses. And once you have no emotions towards bad or good things happening, you start to experience the state of a clear mind. The whole lens of how you look at the world is different. The only problem is maintaining this state of clearness. You have not actually told us how to realize it except for rubbing our feet?
