Hi! Happy Sunday! 😊 I had a fun idea to paint countertop samples. Hope you enjoy the art I created! Let me know which of the 6 designs is your favorite. What a great way to reuse counter samples after picking a new counter! Never would have thought to paint on them, absolutely genius idea! 💙

Definitely get the struggle of color correcting 😅 I never would have thought of painting countertop samples - they might be a little big, but I could totally see these being used as gift tags or something. I think my favorite was the paint tube, that looks like it would be a fun technique! 💜

I loved the balloon and paint tube, and snow globe… but then the crystals are so pretty because you are great with light and shadow… so, I guess they are all my favorites! 😂

If you added a string or ribbon and painted the back of them a plain color they would make really cool personalized gift tags for presents. If you try this again, maybe try using a clear gesso on top before painting! I bet it will be much easier to use the paint pens on it then.

Beautiful paintings, such inspiring ideas to draw/paint later. Never saw samples of counter tops. The last 2 are my favorites, but that little birdie is also so cute. I always had black cats, my recent Teddy passed away in September, but I always admire black cats. Now I have a grey tabby boy

That is a unique idea!! 👏👏 I had to chuckle at your rainbow out of order color ribbons with drips. I've been watching too much Moriah Elizabeth recently!! 😂 I did like that painting and the paint tube one. The more colors the merrier!! 🌈 But really they are all adorable and creative!! 💖

If you wanted to layer the poscas, maybe a quick spray of sealant, or maybe a thin layer of clear gesso?

I wonder if a really light sand and priming with clear gesso could help especially with the Poscas so they don't lift? I find it's been a real game changer to help the painting process go a bit more smoothly on unconventional surfaces.

One time I painted on glass with poscas and when I went to do the second coat mine did the same thing and was scratching off so i out a really thin layer of mod podge on top and let it dry then I was able to do a second coat of poscas on top and it turned out great so maybe that would work for you on those samples but I’m not sure cause I’ve never tried it on those lol but I think it would most likely work on anything

Fun fact... Keep paint closed up like you did in a bag and keep it cold. If you stir it about once a week it should last a few months.

You really paid $30 for each sample ? Just to paint freakin cartoon characters on them 😂when you could’ve paid 75% less by painting on a canvas lls or a wood panel that’s a dollar at Walmart n dollar tree 😂
