Absolutely not! If you want to play even just for fun then that's all you need. I started teaching my girlfriend last year and she barely knew anything about drums. Now we're playing stuff like Ghost, Muse, Avenged Sevenfold and some Trivium with her on the drums. Full songs. And she doesn't even really practice at all 😆

Man I look up to you as an inspiration. I don’t have a fancy drum set or any drum set at all. Just two drum sticks that my college friend gave me. I used these to practice my best and air drum.
