Went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they had a close out KitchenAid Model KSS1121C with gauge. Is this really the same machine. Little disappointed that fizz did not last as long as a normal bottle. (started to go flat really quick). Is that true on all models? Do I need to go to highest setting of soda to equal what normal soft drinks are and have fizz last longer?

dinosaurs doing the robot This product is complete garbage after buying the unit it only comes with one O2 can only good for about 12. 32oz bottles then you have to spend a ton of money on new cartridges it is way more cost effective to just buy the bottles from the store

Re Soda Stream. The older dispenser will not accept the new longer bottle. I find this very distressing as they say do keep bottles after a period of time.

are you going to review the Sodastream Mix when it's released next year, it can carbonate any drink and has internet blue tooth access. How about the new Sodastream Power and new bottles. They no longer make the Revolution

We had one of these back in the early 90's and the selection of flavorings were branded flavors. Had a way better choice of flavors, not like what they do today.

i have one of those did not like because all the syrup tasted like diet soda and i do not like diet soda and it leaves an after taste in your mouth.

These machines seem like a good idea, and probably work fine but unfortunately, I just ordered one expecting to exchange the cylinders at my Walmart but no go. No one in my area handles them, so do check first if you intend to get one of these. I'd have to travel for miles to get a refill and they cannot be ordered online so, I'll be returning mine. The tanks soda stream does sell from their site are not described well at all, so one doesn't know if they are getting a full tank or not and since Sodastream didn't answer my email trying to verify if those tanks are full or not, I have to assume they are just empty spares...very deceptive. Also, I tried to leave a review similar to/much shorter than this on sodastream's site but I got an email my review didn't meet their criteria when all it did was tell the truth in a non abusive way. Point being, be careful of the ratings on sodastrerams site as they are fixed and also very deceptive as they won't post too bad a rating. I have nothing against them, just want to warn others before you end up with something you either cannot use or it's not the least bit efficient for you to use like happened to me. Not sure if sodastream works it this way on purpose or not but I can say if you have to buy another machine each time you want a cylinder (most Walmart's carry the machines, just not necessarily the refills) Sodastream makes a lot more money. Proof this is a real issue is when you go to ebay, punch in "Sodastream" and a whole lot of used ones with no tank come up in search....buying the whole machine is the only way some of these folks can get a tank and then they have to hassle with trying to recoup their money by selling just the machine. Hope Aroma will let this post stand...I think it's important, and will help others.

+Kenny Smith Wow, no way to get cylinders? I know I have exchanged spent cylinders at Bed Bath and Beyond and Best Buy numerous times and found replacement cylinders at Target. I don't know if Target does the cylinder exchange like the others but I have definitely seen boxes of them with the machines and flavorings. I am surprised Walmart doesn't.

+Kenny Smith Im looking to get one and frankly the tanks are completely overpriced. I play paintball and some people use c02 tanks very similar to those, hell the threads of the head of the bottle look the same. The co2 paintball tanks cost about $5 to fill up at dicks sporting goods but I doubt they would fill the soda maker bottles just because they dont want to get in trouble.

Should have shown the "Play" in black to see the real difference between them (Honestly, I think the white unit is F-Ugly). Personally I've now gone through Sodastream hell with the first Play unit died after 4 bottles, the second only came with a 15L carbonator instead of the 60L, and the 3rd Play (from a different store) being DOA. I think I may be done with Sodastream if the 4th one doesn't work properly or come with a 60L carbonator.

Sounds like you're doing something wrong. I've had a play, my parents have a play, my sister has a play. We all buy the 60l gas bottles regardless of what comes with (when you replace you can upgrade to larger gas bottle). Im wondering if you haven't screwed the gas in correctly...

I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. I've owned sodastreams in the past and never had an issue. I think I simply got 3 bum units. I returned the last one yesterday and bought the Fizzi model and it works great. The only real con so far of the Fizzi model is that it can't use the 130L carbonator.

Stefan you should know that SodaStream provided employment for hundreds of West Bank Palestinians along with Israeli Jews...employing 500 Palestinians, along with 450 Israeli Arab and 350 Israeli Jewish citizens.
