Thank you! That really means a lot. I'm realizing that it isn't easy to make a video and there is a lot to learn. From audio to editing, it's pretty overwhelming! I've learned a ton watching your videos!

I am interested in the corona because I have such rocky soil in north Idaho that I cannot really get a full depth plug with the pro plugger. With the corona having a shallower plug with greater width seems advantageous

Let us know how it works please!

What is your take on aerating? I have a tow behind? Works really well after a good soaking or rain, my question is, will aerating once a month during the lawn season do any harm? I think not, letting water, fertilizer, air in. What's your take? From one Mass guy to another, thanks 🙏
@TurfandStem2 жыл бұрын
I would limit the aerating to once a year, usually the fall is the best time. Aerating monthly is going to be pretty stressful on the grass, especially in the summer months.

Will it work making plugs out of a sod tray?
@TurfandStem2 жыл бұрын
I think it would. Save some money though and take it from an unseen area of grass!

An idea that someone else posted online: get those seed starters that will decompose, fill with soil and top with seed and starter fertilizer, water until seed sprouts, then put into bare spots once grass gets a couple of inches tall. For anyone who just wants plugs of sod, that should be a good method.

They're available at Home Depot, Lowe's, Tractor Supply and Amazon. The best price seems to be at Lowe's and Home Depot at just under $25.

You missed that the pro plugger extracts 3 different depth plugs, which is a big benefit. How could you miss that.
@TurfandStem Жыл бұрын
I think most people that use it for grass plugs just use the largest setting automatically.

@@TurfandStem I use the 4" for lawn. Regardless, it does provide the option that the other doesn't.

I’m so jealous if people who don’t have St Augustine. Every single plug tool video has other types of grass. St Aug doesn’t do well with these tools.
@TurfandStem2 жыл бұрын
Is it because St. Aug is too thick with few roots?

@@TurfandStem I think it's because the stolons are too thick and tough.
