Being "authentic" is not something to applaud if that person is also encouraging bad things. She's only viewing cheating as something to help her because she isn't thinking from the perspective of the person getting cheated on. Cheating tells the person getting cheated on that they are 1. unloved 2. not worth loyalty 3. not good enough for their partner. Trust is ruined forever. She is only viewing cheating from her selfish perspective and ignores how it can absolutely devastate the person cheated on. That person can now never trust a partner ever again and will think they aren't worth having someone loyal. Cheating is selfish and harmful. Don't do it, for both your partner's sake and your own.

I mean this in the most respectful way because I’m all for sexual expression but it’s apparent that Jay has evolved so much from the current societal paradigm. It’s kind of refreshing lol. If you think about it, his responses were objective, respectful and still indicative of his own personal values. For the record, there’s really no right or wrong answer but I think the key here is honoring whatever is right for you without dismissing or denigrating others’ preferences, which he so beautifully displayed. Loved this podcast sesh. Definitely enjoyable

@AndyJMacLeod Жыл бұрын
18:37 Sofia just destroys her chance of ever being in a long term relationship ever again. I hope she likes cats… … And it keeps getting worse. She says she’s open to a “one-time cheat”, that she’ll get bored in marriage and want an Open Relationship or to get divorced. She has no understanding of marriage, and I pray that no guy is ever foolish enough to get involved with her. My life was destroyed when my wife cheated on me. My kids lives were seriously damaged. There’s few things more heart-rending than comforting your child as she cries herself to sleep every night for a year. Cheating is the most vile, selfish behaviour someone can do in a relationship. Cheaters are the scum of humanity and they make me physically sick. I need a bucket.
@stellarusso62265 ай бұрын
@AndyJMacLeod I am so sorry that happened to you and your kids. Agreed cheating is not in any circumstance warranted. It’s awful respectless behavior. And I also feel like emotional cheating and “just kissing” are also in the same category of cheating and just as bad. I also don’t really subscribe to the “after ten years you’re bored” theory. Why is comfortable, settled, and reliable boring? Won’t ever understand that either. The grass is greener on the side you water it, and your marriage or relationship should be where you water the grass.

It's pretty sad that you have a platform to vomit the worst takes and garbage. What kind of mindset do you need to have to say that everyone deserves a one off cheat in every relationship? It really speaks volumes into the kind of person you are, and the scarier part is that you probably find nothing wrong with it and don't see why that's an issue.
