@glostikxo85094 жыл бұрын
That decision was honestly stupid and selfish. Idk how people cannot see how messed up that was. She didn’t listen to anyone, but herself when multiple people were telling her she was getting ripped off! She should’ve listened to an agency or someone with a clue in the business world.. She not only broke up a friendship, she broke up a partnership and a podcast.. it’s not going to be the same without Sofia. This cancel culture sucks that people are so quick to turn on people without knowing all of the details. Sofia was half of the personality of the podcast. She is also a contributing factor to the success of the podcast. Even if the podcast wasn’t edited, I’d still listen because they’re that hilarious together. I’d sit through a whole 3 hours. Yeah, the editing makes it more enjoyable, but without the content of the two of them put together, they wouldn’t have anything. Also, negotiations take on average about 150 days. Yes, they asked for a million dollar contract 5 months ago, but after Dave said no they just let it go. Then Dave came back at the beginning of quarantine with a new offer. So technically that’s when the negotiation process started. We’ve only been in quarantine for approximately 75 days. Which means they were about half way through negotiations. Alex just got impatient and stabbed Sofia in the back. Yes, she didn’t care about the money, but she also didn’t care about her friend is she was willing to just say “Fuck it, you’re on your own” I honestly love Alex, but this just rubbed me the wrong way.. I will be tuning in on Wednesday to see how this all goes.

I think it's a shame that their views diverged and Sofia overplayed her hand....but that said, Call Her Daddy fluctuates between #1-#3 in Spotify behind only Joe Rogan who just signed a $100 million deal with Netflix. Yes, he's been doing it for 13 years. But $100 million dollars is a far cry from the deal they had when they sat down to renegotiate and they only got rooftop deal because of Suitman and his help: shopping the show around as a way to show that the industry standard is well above what they were making and so that they would feel more comfortable in negotiations knowing that they had a backup deal. He gave them leverage. Like I said, Sofia clearly didn't want to be at Barstool anymore and Alex did. Sofia overplayed her hand but I think everyone needs to put away the pitchforks...It's not that deep.

IMO its really scary nobody thinks its weird Alex threw away an entire friendship to work with someone who she's known for less time and literally took advantage of her yikes 😬 how did the other girl throw the friendship away very much so seems like it was Alex that ended things especially considering her boss is threatening to sue her "sister" like who could work with someone like that. Really speaks volumes about Alex's character imo. Was it not Alex who got the secret raise 🤔 was it not Alex who went behind her friends back and cut a deal with someone who disparaged both of them publicly idk I just feel so weird like why is Sophia being silenced while Alex is allowed to post on her own channel and the CHD channel seems weird

RIP to Sofia. She’s living with suitman now and most likely getting brainwashed and becoming as greedy as him and manipulative. We love you daddy cooper. Do this show with Milf Hunter. Get a man and woman’s view and continue on with your pure genuine soul. You don’t need the toxic energy that comes from the industry that Peter is apart of Edit: this is just like when Lauren Conrad didn’t go to Paris over a man. “She’ll always be known as the girl who didn’t go to Paris”. Sofia will always be known to choose a man over her career & friend

@707Bubby4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I feel like she tries to be fair about everyone's point of view and not interject too much of just her opinion aside from talking about what she was feeling on her side. I think Sophia probably got caught up in all the maybes and all the glamorous things people told her. She fell in love with some dream sales pitch of what was never going to be the case. Kind of like if you see and hear about all these famous singers and actors and all the money they are making, but that's not the STANDARD, the majority of singers and actors don't make a lot of money. So is you are an indie singer who is doing a well and have gotten a decent following and fan base, you still can't compare YOUR record deal to what someone like Beyonce has. It's going to feel shitty in COMPARISION, but you are measuring in the wrong bracket, and I think that's what happened with Sophia. She heard about what she "COULD" be making and it was never actually realistic, it was the dream.
@cehart1234 жыл бұрын

NEVER liked these CHD girls, but i admit i've never listened or watched any of their content. This whole saga was swaying my dislike for them even further... however this video, away from the whole persona and over-the-top-ness, Alex has made me see her in a different light. Really taken aback by the maturity and wisdom (regarding stuff she knows, has done and willingness to admit she doesn't know something) she demonstrated with this video. She has a much better understanding of the brand, product and influence she has than i gave credit for. all that being said, happy that Barstool was able to retain a profitable and popular show, more importantly it seems that they have backed Alex and seems to have converted her to a stoolie through and through. Congrats to Alex for getting an incredible deal, not that she will ever see this, but this is an incredibly important accomplishment and invaluable experience

When Alex gives us a half-hour video worth of information and Sofia only did a Snapchat story just goes to show she doesn't care about Call Her Daddy as much as Alex does. She wants to continue and make good content, but its sad that Sofia is just letting money get to her head and not thinking logically about the situation. David was literally willing to give them half a million dollars for an amazing podcast that still puts barstool on the map. Ps. I also think Sofia is kind of living in a fantasy world and allowed other people to get way too involved in her business, but that's beside the point. When you have someone in you're life who is telling you that you deserve more, it kind of gets into your head, and that is what happened. She let her ego get way to big, and she started to get really entitled. This whole thing can really make it or break it for her at this point. Listen to a man that's giving you terrible advice that can lead her to her downfall or her rise, who knows. I just think Sofia could have handled it better and gave the contract a go from Barstool and see what would have happened. Alex, on the other hand, made this experience be a humbling one, although chaotic, she's still humble about the situation. Glad she is coming back!
