Seriously… you outdid yourself with this build. What a beautiful piece! I had so much fun making/putting together the DIY kit 🎉 I’m so proud of how it turned out and cannot wait to wear it to work tomorrow! Thank you again!

Solid Tutorial. Making some for a friends daughter. 3D printed her name in vertical and will imprint with the clicker. Love the paint pen idea.

Just started to watch your Firefighter leather items. You do a good job. I'd love to see how the items are used with all the gear on. For instance the glove keeper may be self explanatory to you who uses the gear; its a mystery to me how they are used/attached to ? etc. I just purchased 3 of your downloads. Thanks for your considerations.

Awesome Ron. Thank you for the business. That’s a good idea. I’ll consider making a video. 👌🏼

what length Chicago Screws would you suggest using?

I would get both 3/8 and 1/2 inch. 3/8 for 90% of the project. 👍

Bulit a few for myself and my brothers and I am really enjoying doing this work. Thanks for all you taught me. What do you do with the brass/copper stubs you cut off? I hate throwing them away.
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words my friend. I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying the craft. And you’re welcome. 👊🏼. I use brass and not copper rivets. I have a 5 gallon bucket I throw the scrap in. Dont know why I do it. 🤷🏻♂️. I guess I haven’t figured out what to do with it just yet. Maybe memorabilia 🤷🏻♂️🤣

Have you noticed certain leathers are "better" for the extreme heat? I didn't hear that mentioned in the video
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Not really. I'm in Florida and I haven't experienced any problems with either the English bridle or Latigo from Wickett and Craig. Thanks for watching

How far off the center do you start stamping the name? Only thing I don’t see on the blueprints! Thanks and keep up the great work!
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I’m totally against eye balling anything in my shop, however this is the only thing I eye ball. The stamp itself is almost as wide as the strap. Makes it super easy to eyeball.

I just subbed! How do you stiffen leather in order to make a locker name tag?
@SofieldLeather Жыл бұрын
Hey Jason! Thanks for the sub. I dont have any experience with hardening leather. Im sure a thick pc of 10 oz should hold up no problem.

I have a stupid question. I bought leather but it’s not long enough for a 4’7.5” piece it’s only like 4’ x 3’. when you buy your leather for straps how do you make sure it’s going to be long enough?
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Hey Joshua, I saw that you bought my templates. Thanks for the business. I buy a whole side of leather. Check out my video on where to get leather. 👊🏼

I have a question I have blue prints for a radio holster on the blue print (F) it says 1 inch piece and looks like it’s suppose to be two holes but it looks like the the holes should be 1/4 from both sides
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Stand by let me check
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Yeap. It’s correct. You need 2 holes there evenly spaced apart. That’s where the cord runs through.

Awesome video. I like that you don’t over edit your videos. Keeps it real. Where did you get that little anvil?
@SofieldLeather3 жыл бұрын
Awesome. Glad you like it. Takes more time to get all the timestamps than actually editing the video. 🤣. I got that anvil from weaver leather. 👊🏼
@@SofieldLeather Thank you so much- and also what kind of leather do you use? I was trying to find the write type and size but its so difficult.
@scottcook72932 жыл бұрын
I kinda wish when I purchased the pattern you would have included the sizes of the trigger snaps and other things. Kinda feel ripped off. You have an other video where you talk about the hardware and what you need and its wrong. In that video you said the trigger snaps needed to be 1 1/2 wide when in fact they are 1 inch. You say in this video that in the descriptions you will have a hardware list and its no where to be found.
@SofieldLeather2 жыл бұрын
Sorry that you feel ripped off. I will refund you today. The hardware video is indeed in the description as well as in the video cards.
@SofieldLeather2 жыл бұрын
I went ahead and refunded you. The hardware needed section is at the 02:32 mark in the video as well as the link to a specific video in the description. That specific video has specific item numbers for weave leather. Hope this helps and again Im sorry you feel ripped off.
