Just started watching you a few weeks ago; you are a blessing so much needed to hear your faith your testament to your Jesus. Condolences too you; found out you had a loss and you are an amazing strong woman. Anyway you have helped my walk to know what is important and to dig deeper in the Bible. You are the salt of the world; that's what we are to be.

Becky, I received your cookbook delivery today. It truly touched me…to the point of tears! Happy ones. We just bought a new home and I’ve been so overwhelmed with the work it’s brought forth! I’m in my mid sixties and was trying so hard to get us settled before my foot surgery tomorrow. Your familiar recipes and Bible verses made me smile and cry the best stress-relieving tears.I was so thankful. Your book is so much more than I ever expected. Bless you, your girls, and your ministry. You just never know how the Lord will use you to touch folks! Thank you so much!

I tried this recipe this morning. Just wanted to let you know they are perfect. I'm 70+ years old and still learn a lot from you. Love your Scripture you put up. (One tip you may try....I have trouble storing in the chocolate chips with the arthritis I have so I used my bread dough hook. It worked like a charm and no breakage of chips. Love your recipes.

I love Chocolate Chip Cookies! I miss my Mom's cookies! It's been a long time since I had my Mom's cookies. I have her recipe box and cookbooks that I cherish! I made My Mom's Christmas Cut Out Cookies one year and didn't know it was already doubled when I started. I was only planning on making 6 dozen to give away for gifts and I ended up making 12 dozen of cookies. I made a lot of my family and friends happy for Christmas one year! So now before I make my mom's recipes I check out the whole recipe before I make it. Lol I'm going through my mom's recipes and putting them in a recipe book and notebook for myself and as a gift my friend!

All these years of baking and I’ve never refrigerated my chocolate chip cookie dough before baking. I just did a batch and boy o boy, you’ve taught this old lady a new trick that I will always use now. My husband deems these the best batch I’ve ever made. And I only baked 18 so I have more to surprise him another night. That is if I can keep him from robbing my stash and eating the dough. Lol Thank you again Darlene. May God bless you and you family throughout the Christmas season.

Today I made your meatloaf recipe using oatmeal as the filler since that was what my Mom always used. My meatloaf turned out to be the best ever. Thank you for continuing your videos. So happy to see your video!!! I’m making cookies right now lol. I just wanted to share something I learned accidentally over Thanksgiving. If you’re gonna put nuts in your cookies use dark brown sugar. I don’t know why or how but it makes them so much better. My household doesn’t do nuts in cookies, but this year we had a ton of walnuts and pecans so I decided to make chocolate chip cookies to take to everyone. My husband and son ate an entire batch with pecans, and they both hate pecans. I don’t usually use dark brown sugar but it was all the grocery store had, I went back and got light brown sugar to replace the batch they ate. They didn’t like them at all. So give it a shot.

Before the video was finished, I had an interruption and had to pause it. Later as I was getting ready to bring your video back up I was remembering how my brother took advantage of our mother’s senility and took over his siblings inheritance. I had taken a seat on the “whoa is me train” when I heard you say “You can’t take it with you.” You said it’s what we GIVE that we take with us. And all I could think of was my grand children. I’m afraid that I’ll be taking the “hurt” with me to the grave-I adored my brother. But I’m going to try to focus on what I’m giving to my dear grandkids. In the end that’s all that matters. Thank you for what you are giving to all of us.

Recently I’ve been having trouble with just about any kind of cookies I make. They don’t fluff up like they used to but I’ve always used baking powder rather than baking soda. I was told if you want crispy cookies use baking soda, if you want softer cookies use baking powder. Do you agree? You can also put your dough in the freezer i do that often when I’m trying to get everything ready for the holidays.
