I have been baking so many times of the banana cake , once I finished watching the video , I knew this was the recipe I was looking for , she used the oil to mix with the flour first was the wise idea , and whisked the eggs in the last part in order to make the cake so fluffy. Really smart ! Today I baked with half more portion of the ingredients, but I cut down the brown sugar in 80g. And need to bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The cake is nice !!!! I give her a 👍
Thank you teacher for your recipe. Today I replaced plain flour with cake flour and cut sugar by about 15% to 114g. It came out fine! It’s still soft and light. Your recipe never disappoints ☺️.

I use 75g eggs so instead of 5 i used 4 eggs. And it turns out light n fluffy. And you know what?? I did the 2nd batch on same day!! Cos the first batch was gone in a short period of time doesn’t even last for 30mins when its still warm!! My kids n husband love it and goes well with coffee or tea during this rainy days in Singapore 🇸🇬 and Thank you for sharing 😊😊

i have attempted on this few days ago. it came out perfectly. Not a sweetooth person here so i deducted the amount of sugar and oil as well. modifications that i made while making this cake : sugar - from 135g to 60g. oil (I used canola oil) - 170ml to 100ml. also, I added milk into my batter instead of condensed milk. my family member loved it. thank you :)

Tried it last weekend. Reduced sugar to 80g. Turned out really nice. Very moist and soft. This recipe is a keeper. Buy I would add another banana next time. Amp up the banana flavour!

Tried it today and it turns out really well - soft and spongy! I cut the sugar to 100g so that it’s not too sweet for me and it was perfect. Added extra walnut and banana slices on top, amazing.

I tried the recipe! Super soft and yummy. Reduced the sugar a bit. It was a bit brown and almost burned at the 40’ minute. I will bake it in 35’ next time. All in all, it was perfect to me.

I have never been successful with sponge cakes. This one was a success! So soft and springy. The sweetness level is just right. I find other cake recipes are often too sweet to my liking. I also added vanilla extract. Hubby loves it too. Thank you Madam Kathrine for your recipes and tutorials. I will try other recipes too. God bless you.

Very good recepi. Tried yesterday, came out with soft and tasty banana cake. I cut the sugar to half and oil to 110ml, to reduce some sweetness.

Lim Poh Hoon I don’t like sweet thing so sugar from 135g I cut till 60g. The taste just good to me. Coz banana itself already sweet. So depend on you ... if you like little sweet than maybe you can put 80g-90g.🤗

If your batter didn't deflate, then the bananas sank to the bottom. Try mashing them till fine.

hi teacher. I did your cake but my banana mixture added into the mixed flour with oil becomes Abit dry n lumpy. my mixture doesn't look like yours!. why! your banana m flour mixed together looks soft n creamy. but mine does not turn out. d bottom shows banana settled Abit at the bottom. pl advise

I made the cake tonight, followed everything exactly per your recipe except the sugar and oil. I reduced the sugar from 135g to 80g and oil to 100 ml (original is 170 ml). The taste is good but it is still too oily. I will have the oil further reduced next time. Your recipe is too heavy in sugar and oil. Thank you!
