I only use wooden spoon brand for my flour. It's a cheaper one than the other brands. But any branded flour in the grocery will do. Usually this is available in the market sold per kilo and in baking stores.

If you don't have an oven, you can still cook this in a thick pan with cover, just use a steel rack to put the baking pan into so it will not touch the bottom of the pan. Try it. Para paraan lang yan. 👍😍

@@akiraguevarra8010 icheck mo after 15 minutes, make sure na preheat mo muna yung kawali ng at least 5 minutes bago mo ilagay at low fire lang. Kailangan mag brown na ang pandesal bago mo hanguin....magre relay ka lang sa color ng dough kasi iba iba ang laki ng kawali.

This is regarding questions why I added butter last on my pandesal recipe. Butter is super fatty and adds great flavor to the dough, but you don’t want to add it in too early and get in the way of gluten formation. By kneading in the softened butter after the gluten has formed and the dough texture is smooth, you still get the rich flavor of butter without supressing the gluten formation. I actually added it too early here, it should have been at the last 2 minutes of kneading when the gluten has fully developed as butter when put in the mixture will coat the proteins and will prevent or supress it from developing gluten. Gluten will make our bread stretchy and soft and still get the buttery flavor. There are recipes we added the butter with the mixture before mixing as long as it is not soft bread that needs gluten formation like cupcakes and the result will be moist and tender as the butter suppress the gluten formation as long as we don't overmix.

Yes removed the powdered milk and then replace the water with 1 cup of milk plus 3 tbsp.

You can use fresh milk or any milk but be sure that you do not add additional water meaning if your using liquid milk then lessen your water in the recipe or else your dough will turn into batterr

We are in a remote area of Pa where we don’t have Filipino supplies. I will try to make this step by step. Last time I baked pandesal was a disaster. I will let you know. This one is crunchy sa labas because of butter I used pero soft sa loob. Need mo patagalin konti ang baking time para maging crunchy ang outer layer.

Ok, I cant understand Tagalog very well, But with the Close Captions I was able to follow your recipe :) And I Successfully made 38 50gram Pandesal that really did taste like real Filipino Pandesal. This is the 4th or 5th recipe I have tried and is by Far the best I have made yet :) Thankyou for sharing in such detail.

Puede active dry yeast, ipa bloom mo muna ng 10 mins sa warm water with sugar. Kagaya din ng ginagawa ko pero mag wait ka lang ng 10 mins bago mo ilagay ibang ingredients. Yung recipe ko kasi ng cinnamon roll iba sa pandesal kasi walang butter ang cinnamon roll instead i use oil to make it softer kahit ilang araw na malambot pa rin. Ang butter kasi ay specifically ginagamit ko sa pandesal lang to make the outer layer crispy na hindi bagay sa cinnamon roll.

natuwa ako dun sa mga snippets of info like yung importance ng room temperature and right timing. Yung 1st attempt ko kasi umasim kaya pala kasi gabi ko cya ginawa then morning kona binake. Thanks sa mga explanations.

Miss mai i like the way you make pandesal. Well explained. I will try to make when i can buy bread flour. Last time i made pandesal i used APF ahhh its very hard pandesal not soft

Puede mo itry ang all purpose flour sa recipe ko. It has something to do with the measurements of the ingredients.

Maraming salamat for the detailed tutorial. Ang tyaga mong magbigay ng pointers. Importante yon. Kaya lumakas loob ko na gumawa ulit ng pande sal. I know you have to be precise with baking unlike cooking. Dami ko ng napanuod na video ‘bout pan de sal making pero I was not too happy with the results

wow ! ang galing, i salute..sa dami ng video na napanood kona, yan pala yung na encounter ko na problem..ang galing naman nakaka inspire, try ko ulit gumawa. Kasi puro palpak ang gawa ko ng pandesal..iba iba ang texture kada ako ggagawa. Very well explained.

Hello! I'm so glad i chanced upon your channel. I believe it's divine providence cz i've been looking for good pandesal recipes for some time now. I haven't tried it yet but i have a good feeling that it'll be good cz you explain and demonstrate really well. I just have a few questions i hope you won't mind. - are you using gas or electric oven? Would you say it's better for baking breads? - how big is your oven? What kind - tabletop or range oven?

I'm using gas range oven, for me gas oven is better. My gas range oven is the standard one I think, with 4 burners on top, the smallest that fits the 12x16 inch baking sheet for pandesal.
