This is so helpful. I started using a cup about 6 months ago so I have only tried the Diva cup but I did notice the cramping (only for a few minutes) and the bladder issue (not emptying). I just assumed that was a normal thing that I just had to deal with. I had no idea about the rating. I didn’t even know that there were different shapes. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I use the Lunette (Prebirth) cup and I love it! but I can feel the rim (I think) putting a lot of pressure, especially on painful days. I was thinking about the lily compact since I figured it had to be soft to fold up. I still haven't decided yet, I saw that in your medium range was the diva cup but I have a low cervix so I'm not sure how well that one will work.
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Sussan! Lunette opens nice and easy with a firmer rim, which is also probably the reason you're feeling that extra pressure...as you suspected. I think if you try a cup around the same size but with a softer rim, it might help. Some cups that come to mind are the small Super Jennie, small LaliCup, small Lena "Sensitive" version, and Korui in small or medium. All of them have a softer rim than the Lunette and/or don't have as high of a secondary rim. The LaliCup has unique channels all the way around the cup to help it fold up smaller, but also helps it open. I included the medium Korui because it's about the same size as the small SJ. Both are bell-ish shaped with a regular style rim. Both should allow your low cervix to sit inside of the cup with out compromising all of the capacity. The Lena "Sensitive" has a soft flared rim. I found that the bell shaped cups with flared rims ride up and sit higher, normally making them more comfortable for someone with a low cervix. If you need more info on any of these cups, let me know :) Don't forget that I do have some discount codes for some of these cups. You can find all of my discount codes here: bit.ly/2oUzHvv *Korui is a Brasilian Cup that can be purchased through menstrualcupsbrasil.co.br. You will have to contact them to place an order if you are not in Brasil. I'm not sure how much shipping is as I purchased several cups at once.

Hi Alisha! Not sure if you deleted your comment, but I see it under my dashboard so I'll leave this reply here just in case you visit again :) Anyhow, the Diva is a V shaped cup and the Sckoon is a bell shaped cup. They may be applying pressure in different areas causing them to be either more comfortable or less comfortable, either with the length, shape or firmness. You can check out the Fleur, Super Jennie, LaliCup, Si-Bell...all should have a higher capacity than the Sckoon. The Sckoon large is still a lot smaller than most large sized cups. It's a great cup for those with a lower cervix, but can still be just as comfortable for someone with a higher cervix. Check out my description box for places that you might find some of these cups and some discount codes, too! Good Luck! :D

I consider myself pretty active, and i find myself to really love bell shaped soft cups. I use a Sckoon cup and love it. I bought a Lena cup, but that was way too hard. I thought that was considered a medium soft cup. But glad to know that its in the firm cup category. I just assumed i was being overly sensitive.
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 7 жыл бұрын
We all have our own ideas of soft and firm, so it really is hard to put a label on some of these cups. I hear a lot of people saying that the Diva Cup is way too soft, and others say that it is way too firm. Shore rating numbers are really hard to go by as well. A silicone can be a specific shore rating but when it's made into a cup, the style may make the cup feel more soft or more firm depending on the shape. Over all, a majority of the people that I have talked to that are very physically active have said that they prefer a firm cup. However, the ones with a sensitive bladder can't go extremely firm. I don't think you're being overly sensitive :D It just goes to show how different everyone's bodies are and what makes them comfortable :) I'm glad that you found a cup that works for you and feels comfy! That's all that really matters!

Congrats on trying out a cup! I hope it works for you well enough that you don't convert back to disposables. What cup are you using? If you're new, I would wait and try it again for at least a couple more periods. Inserting, removing, fumbling, trying to get it open, pulling on it, being foreign, may all be reasons that you're cramping. 4-6 hours is actually pretty good, but you might be able to get more capacity if that's a smaller cup. Congrats again!!!

I got this set of cups from am Amazon seller, called "talisi." I feel like this one is more comfortable because it's super squishy. That's the only problem for me, is that everything is so compact that even a slightly firm cup, feels like my entire Peri area is going to explode. I've had a few different ones, even tried disks. Disks will never work for me, any movement of my muscles and it shoots right out 😂. I do like the talisi for now, but I still feel like even the small, is too wide. I've been told from my first pap that my muscles were very strong. It seems "tense" is the word they use. Anyway, it makes it hard to have a easy period . I struggle with tampons too, which lead me to cups. A regular is as large as I can comfortably go. And that doesn't hold much blood 🤷🏽‍♀️ still searching. But for now the blossom will do. I really appreciate your channels content, because it helps to know what is out there and it's actually how I found out that there were softer cups. So thanks 🙏🏽

i had the diva cup for 2 years and switched to the skcoon. i love the skcoon BUT, i really need something with a higher capacity epsecially overnight. i tried my diva cup again after a year not using it. and will not go back to it. way too hard to open, and i felt crampy as soon as i stood up. and since it sits so low the grip rings irritate. the sckoon would be perfect if it had a larger capacity. maybe its that its too soft?

Great video! That chart is very helpful! I'm trying to choose my first cup. I exercise regularly but I'm not sure if I have a sensitive bladder. I was thinking of getting a Lena cup small for my first cup. Im trying to make the best choice. Do you have any recommendations? I haven't had any children and I'm relatively young.
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 7 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I just got back from a three week holiday and am just catching up now. For a first time cup user, a small Lena might be a good place to start if you have a lighter flow. The firmness will make the cup open easy. However, I would check your cervix during your period to see if you have a low or high cervix. The bell shape of the Lena might allow the cup to ride up high making it harder for you to reach. If you have high cervix, I would suggest looking into a more "V" shaped cup.
@ericaleshai
@ericaleshai 7 жыл бұрын
Red Herring thank you! I do have a high cervix. I can't reach it while I'm on my cycle. And my flow is light to moderate. So the Lunette is more "v" shaped? Perhaps that's a better option?
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 7 жыл бұрын
I would probably say that the Lunette might be a better or easier fit for someone with a high cervix. Bell shaped cups for people with a high cervix might find it tricky to remove and some times cause people to panic because they can't reach their cup. If you remember that and don't panic if/when this happens, then it might work just fine for you. However, I have seen many (including myself) that find that the firmness and bell shape of the large Lena applies too much pressure, causing cramps. I can't say for certain that that would be the result for you, but you might want to take that into consideration. You might also look into the Diva Cup, EvaCup, LaliCup, Yuuki Soft, Bella Cup, Juju, MeLuna Large.

I usually use the Lunette Size 1 which I've found leaks very often on my most heavy day unless I empty it out every 3 hours or so which can be tricky since I use it when I'm out, it also caused cramps I think because of its firmness - I have a medium/low cervix so based on your videos and advice I finally took the plunge and ordered the Super Jennie Size 1 which hopefully wont be as cramp inducing and will last longer on heavy days, thanks for all your help!

Hi Red Herring! I'm on my first proper day with the SJ and am finding it to work very well for me! I used it last night for over 14 hours so as expected, it leaked quite a bit but I was wearing a heavy 12 inch pad as back up which handled it just fine. Wearing it today I'm astonished by how comfortable it is, despite having cramps being that its my heaviest day I can tell that the cup isn't making the cramps worse and I can barely feel it unlike the lunette. I've not put the capacity to the test but I'm confident I'll get a lot more hours of it and I've had no need to cut the stem which is already at the same height my lunette was with its stem cut. All in all, I think I've found my goldilocks cup! Already I'm thinking that I'll only ever use my lunette on my last days of my cycle when I don't need much capacity at all. :D

Red Herring Comfort wise - total success, I did have leaking on my 2nd night too when I'd actually inserted just before bed but not as much. The last few days of my cycle I did feel some discomfort with it in even though it's a soft cup but I think the smaller lunette might serve me better since it has a smaller width perhaps. Other than that, a success! Fits the exact purpose id bought it for :D

Ugh! I'm sorry you're still having some leaking issues. Have you thought about trying a large cup instead of the small sizes? Might think about giving one a try next time you find a good destash price or sale :)

I'm not sure what website you're referring to, but I can only give my opinion of how soft or firm a cup is. I'm reluctant to put a number on firmness because everyone has a different meaning/feeling of soft and firm. What I would consider a soft cup, others have described as firm. I've uploaded many cup vs cup videos that might give the viewer a better idea of how soft/firm a cup is compared to a cup they already have. I haven't uploaded recently, but hope to add several new cups in the near future. If you have a cup in mind, I can give you my opinion on it using a number scale from 1-5 with 5 being the firmest. Good Luck!

7 жыл бұрын
Hello Red Herring, I bought the Lena cup size Small and realized it is just too firm for my bladder because I felt nauseous and more cramp on my period and dull pressure on my lower abs. I have been thinking of getting the super Jeanie size small because I have quite heavy period and a lot of cramp. I wonder how Meluna soft and Meluna classic would compare to Super Jeanie, especially the Meluna soft if it could be softer as I heard people said TPA is better and softer inside when it gets warm up. Hope to hear from you, thank you so much!

The SJ small is a nice option. Even for the small size it's a good capacity. It seems to open pretty well without a lot of coaxing...at least for me. I don't have any MeLuna soft cups so I can help you there. I personally find the medium MeLuna too soft and small so make sure to doubt check comparisons of it.

Hi there! You mentioned that you have frequent changing sessions, but are you leaking due to overflow or just some spotting? If you are comfortable with the small Ruby but need a higher capacity, you can give the Ruby medium a try. It's perfect for a medium cervix as it is still on the shorter side, or would you rather try a new cup altogether?

Will you please help and recommend me a menstrual cup? I wear a diva cup now for the past 6 months (the one for not having kids) I have a high cervix I believe believe because it is often hard to get the cup out! I have a sensitive bladder. The diva cup is making me cramp and putting a lot of pressure on my bladder that does cause a lot of pain. Also feels like I don't empty my bladder. I'm not crazy active while on my period. I just have no idea where to start and what sites to trust. Thank you!!!
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 5 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry to hear that you're having some issues with the Diva Cup :( If you're experiencing pressure, pain, cramps, as well as not being able to empty your bladder, I would definitely suggest trying another cup that's softer. I also had some extra pressure using the Diva Cup. I ended up purchasing another cup that was similar in shape and size to the Diva, but softer and found that it alleviated my pains. Hopefully, it will for you, too. Sadly, after choosing cups that I think might work in terms of softness, the cup itself was just about the same as the Diva. Some stems added length, but not by much. So here are the cups that I thought might interest you: Mermaid Cup soft version: These cups have a shortest body of the cups that I chose but they have a nice, long, sturdy stem. Both the body and rim of these cups are quite soft and may need some alternations to your insertion method to get them to open. Casco Cup: This cup is most like the Diva in shape and size but the secondary rim and upper rim are softer. Juju Cup model 3 (high cervix): Although this cups rim is slightly more firm than the Diva Cup, it is more narrow and will hopefully ease some of the pressure off of your sensitive areas. The body and the stem are longer than the Diva Cup. Lily Cup: I'm a little iffy about suggesting this cup. While it is a long cup and it is softer, it does not have air holes. This may be important since some people (like myself) find that it seals/suctions tightly around the cervix and may be difficult to remove. Depending on your flow, the size choice is up to you. Let me know if you have questions about any of these cups or any other and I'll do my best to answer with whatever information that I have.

Different cups work and feel more comfortable for different people. I personally, can use a soft cup or a firm cup equally with comfort. A softer cup might take me a little more time to open, but that's not always the case. I just prefer a cup that's a little firmer because I know I won't have any issues with it opening. Ease, comfort, and capacity (when I have a heavy period) are key for me. :)

So I'm 14 and I have a low cervix.(on my period 3-4 cm and when I'm off my period it's about 5 cm) I use a menstrual cup (for about the 3rd time) but my problem is that it leaks after ca. 5 hours.(I use the Organicup in the teenager size) But I don't think it leaks because if the way it is in me or it doesn't open(a always check after the insertion) I think it's more because the holes get clogged of the blood and then there is nomore vacuum('Cause I have a strong flow). But I'm not sure if that is the real reason.So what should I do? Try a firm(er) cup?Try a bell-/sphere-shaped cup?(But I'm kinda suspicious that this little change in shape should solve my problem and I don't want to buy loads of cups and spend too much money) Thanks in advance!!

Yuuki Classic is still one of the firmest cups that I know of. The MeLuna Sport is also very rigid, but the TPE doesn't allow it to spring back like the silicone of the Yuuki. Benefits of both. I guess it's just ease and preference according to the user. I hope you're having a good week :)

Is it the one that dips in and then flares out at the rim like this one: goo.gl/TK6j1s It is a shorter cup even in the larger size. I can see how it would be harder to reach for a high cervix (like myself). I would suggest something with more length to it for an easier reach and maneuverability. If you can't reach a cup, it's bound to be hard to manipulate into place! I found the rim of this cup soft and hard to open, but it could be the shape of it although. My daughter didn't have any troubles getting it to open, though. How was the firmness of the body and rim for you?

I have that one too and it's so hard to find info on it. I find it so difficult to open and create a seal. Plus it hurts and hits my bladder, i can feel every inch of it. I've tried so hard to make it work, even sat in my shower to insert and i only got to work once, sadly it overflowed quickly because of my excessive bleeding and after removing it i could never get it back in properly. I think it's too stiff.

Thanks for the video. I need to buy my first cup and I'm a little confused on what to get. I'm late 30s, no kids, average cervix. I was leaning towards the Lena Sensitive because I do have a sensitive bladder and some cramps, but I don't know if that's too soft for me to start and I should try something firmer to get used to using a menstrual cup, like the Lunette. Any recommendations?

Hi There! With an "average" cervix and a sensitive bladder, the Lena Sensitive might work for you. If you have a heavier flow, I might suggest something like the LaliCup med or large or the Super Jennie, both of which will have a higher capacity.

I'm so sorry that you haven't found a cup that was both comfortable and easy to use. Can I ask what other cups you tried besides the Silky Cup? The Silky Cup is made from TPE which I personally find a bit harder to work with than silicone (cups). If you ever decide to try cups again, please visit me. I might be able to help you narrow down a couple of cups that may work for you. You can also check out my friends at hygieneandyou.in if you're in India. I would normally suggest a “V” shaped cup when someone has a high cervix just because it has more length. Normally bell shaped cups with a flared rim like the Fleur, ride up during the course of the day and sit high. It can make it more difficult to reach for those with a higher cervix. Speaking of a flared rim, it can be the culprit in your situation. The flared rim normally juts out more than a “regular” rim. I did a video for “Low Cervix” cups but there might still be some info in it that can give you an idea of the bell shaped cups with a flared rim vs a regular rim, or even turn you over to some other cups that pique your interest. bit.ly/2s9OQxV You’ll probably want to look into a soft to med soft cup. If you want to stick to bell shaped cups with a flared rim, I would maybe try the large sizes instead of the small. Lena Sensitive version, Si-Bell (very soft), If you would rather try a bell shape with a regular rim hoping to eliminate the pressure from a flared rim, I would try the MEDIUM LaliCup, Juju, Bella or SMALL Super Jennie. If you want to try a “V” Shaped cup, I would look into the Casco Cup, EvaCup, Yuuki Rainbow, or CupLee. I have some comparison photos with cup measurements if you want to see the cups against each other. They might also help you narrow down your search. bit.ly/2qOSr0E

Hi There! The best place to start, is with finding and measuring your cervix. This will give you an idea if you should look into a long or short cup. If you don't know how to locate and measure your cervix, you can check out this video: bit.ly/2ffEuGC Cervical height isn't the only thing that you can think about when hunting for a menstrual cup. Hi Sara! Sorry for the late reply. I have that exact cup but under a different name - Paramour aka Dreamlover. I struggled with this cup myself, but I had issues with the rim being too soft and not opening easily. My daughter on the other hand, had no issues with inserting and using this cup other than the capacity wasn't a match for her very heavy flow. With heavy bleeding, you might want to check into some of the higher capacity cups. Merula XL holds 50ml to the rim, Venus Cup holds 47ml to the rim, LaliCup large and Super Jennie large both hold 40ml to the rim. Before you pick one, do you know the approx. height of your cervix? Low, medium, high? The "Rebel Kate" cups are on the shorter side compared to "average" small and large cups on the market. Also, can you tell me what led you to feel that the "Rebel Kate" cup being too stiff? Did it make you feel like you needed to pee more often, feel like you couldn't empty your bladder when you did, have a slow urine stream, or have bowel issues, or something else? The Merula XL might be too firm in that case.

The Fleur Cup is a bell-shape with a flared rim and the Super Jennie is a bell-shape with a regular style rim. Cups with flared rims tend to ride up and sit higher around the cervix. This might be causing your issue. Good Luck

@@HealthyGeminiThe Fleur and Sckoon Cups are both made of silicone. Was it the firmness that didn't agree with you? Did the silicone cause bladder or bowel issues, didn't open etc.. Any additional info would help me narrow some cups down for you based on your answers. Leaking can be caused by a few things. I know that you're not a new user but I will go through common leaking issues just in case. Overflow - If your flow is heavy you may need to empty the cup more frequently or try a higher capacity. The cervix can sit deeply into a cup taking up capacity and make the cup overflow sooner rather than later. A higher capacity or a different shape may be an option. Incorrect placement - double-checking the placement of the cup is a good habit. You can do this by placing a finger next to the cup after it has been inserted. Run your finger around the cup as close as you can get it to the rim. Feel for any collapsed areas. You can also make sure that you can’t feel the cervix on the outside of the cup at this time. If you’re inserting the cup completely into the vaginal canal before allowing it to open, the cervix can be in the way of it fully expanding. It may even push your cervix to the side. Soft Cup - Soft cups can cause issues with opening completely or staying collapsed altogether. A cup can have a soft body but a firm rim which seems to be the exception to this issue. A lot of people who perform vigorous workouts claim that softer cups always fail for them and opt for a firmer cup or a cup with a firm rim. Often, a flared rim will be softer than the cup's body. Residual blood - This is more of spotting than a heavy flow leaking onto your undies. However, this can still be a good amount. Residual blood is the blood that is coating the vaginal walls and doesn’t get scooped up by the cup during insertion. This blood will eventually find it’s way out with gravity. A lot of people who experience this think that their cup is leaking when it’s not. After inserting the cup, squat and bear down with your muscles to bring the cup closer to the vaginal opening. Then use a wet wipe or cloth to clean the base and stem of any excess blood. This will eliminate some if not all of the spotting issues. Since you already purchased two bell-shaped cups with flared rims, I'm guessing that you have a medium to a low cervix? Please correct me if not. If you're not sure...do you feel that that cup sits high? As I mentioned previously, bell-shaped cups, especially those with a flared rim, tend to ride up and sit higher around the cervix. Do you need to bear down and push your fingers in deeper to reach the cup? What size Fleur and Sckoon Cup were you using? Again, any additional information about your situation will help me narrow down a selection of cups that might work better for you, - feels comfortable and still easy to reach.

Hi! Wondering if you might have any suggestions for me as I'm looking for a new cup. I've been using a Keeper cup for quite a few years, but after having a baby it's not working well for me anymore. I did try the size A, and don't notice any difference between the two and am having the same issues. I have tried for several cycles since the return of my cycle, and it has been the same every time. The cup doesn't stay up where it should be, but slips down to where it is sometimes sticking out a tiny bit. I'm also having some leaking, which was never an issue pre-baby either. I took the quiz from putacupinit.com, and the suggestions there were the Fleurcup, Lena Sensitive, or Large Si-Bell, and it also said to consider OrganiCup or Ruby. The one thing I didn't know when taking the quiz, however, was my cervix height...I'm unsure about that, though I do know I have been able to feel it before (but I'm not sure if I always can)...I guess I should take the time to find out! Anyway, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Bethany! Congrats on your new addition!! I'm also sorry to hear that your cup is no longer working for you :( Between the two sizes, there isn't a big difference. In fact when the company that I bought my Keeper through sent me the wrong size (I ordered the larger one, they shipped the smaller one), they said that there was only about a 1 or 2mm difference - same for capacity. Anyhow, things change after pregnancy and/or birth. The body still needs time to get back into shape, including your PFM (pelvic floor muscles!). A weakened PFM may be causing your issues with keep the cup in place. I would definitley at least try to locate and measure you cervix before picking a cup. Bell-shaped cups like Fleur, Lena, and Si-Bell, tend to ride up and sit higher. This can make a cup hard to reach for those with a high cervix. It can also cause the cervix to sit deeper into the cup and compromise the capacity for those with a moderate to heavy flow. The OrganiCup is a pretty "average" sized cup and since it has a regualar rim, it won't "spread" out into the vaginal fornix (area around the cervix where a flare rim would "spread" into), "sucking" the cup upward. The Ruby is shorter than "average" large cups out there so again, if you happen to have a high cervix, you might find it difficult to reach. There may also be issues with these cups if you have a very low cervix. The cervix moves throughout our period. It's at the highest position when we're ovulating. Sometimes so high that some people are unable to find it or reach it during that time. As we near our period to a couple days into our period, it's at it's lowest point. This is a good time to locate and measure. It will give you a good idea if the cervix is very low and would be more comfortable with a short cup. Around day 4-5, the cervix starts to move back up. I like to suggest that people check the position then, as well. Some notice a definite difference in the positions and find that they have an easier and/or more comfortable period with two different cups - either different sizes or different brands completely. Based off of the selection that PACII suggested to you, I can't tell if you feel that you have a sensitive bladder/bowel or if you're very physically active. Fleur is a medium firm cup, Lena sensitive is on the softer side of medium, Si-Bell is a very soft cup, Organi has a very firm rim but soft body, Ruby is about medium. Based off of what you WANT and NEED in a cup, I might have totally different suggestions for you than PACII. Besides cervical height, bladder/bowel sensitivities, and physical activites, do you feel that you have a light, moderate, or heavy flow?

@@RedHerringTV Thank you so much, that is so helpful! On my next cycle (I just finished) I will check my cervix height to help me narrow down choices. I did notice on this cycle though that just based on how far I could insert my cup, I think it may be fairly low during my cycle, and when I had previously felt it quite a long time ago, it must have been maybe sometime around ovulation, because I think I remember it being a bit higher. Also, for the first time postpartum, this cycle I actually didn't have much trouble with my original (smaller) Keeper Cup! So as you said, perhaps after all this time my pelvic floor muscles are finally getting back into shape. If this one continues to work for me, I may not need to choose a new one after all (at least for now)! To answer your questions though, I'm not super active anymore. I used to dance quite intensively, and then jogged a lot, did yoga, etc. but since having my son I haven't been doing much exercise, other than keeping up with him :P I think the question in the quiz that you're referring to was one that I answered about feeling swollen/pressure (or something along those lines) during menstruation. I don't notice bladder/bowel sensitivities when using the cup. I would say my flow is moderate. It has been heavier post-baby than pre-baby, but I think I would still categorize it as moderate, especially after this most recent cycle, which seemed a bit lighter than most I've had postpartum. Thank you again so much for your time and input!!

Hi Abbey! I'm so sorry for the delay. How high or low is your cervix, are you physically active, do you have bladder sensitivities, do you have a light or heavy flow. Some people with a tilted uterus find that short or bell shaped cups fit more comfortably. Others find that a cup with a wider diameter is easier to place. Based on your answers to the above would help narrow down other things like firmness, size and shape. Check out this video for more info on each: bit.ly/2pXzZmz Until then, have a great weekend!

I'm sorry for the late reply. I was on holiday and catching up on answering everyone now. I would suggest trying to locate and measure your cervix before choosing a #menstrualcup. You don't want to get a cup that's too long or too short = low or high cervix = comfort or easy reach, or something too soft or too firm for your situation = sensitivities, easy opening, activities...etc. Some people are lucky enough to have their first cup work for them. Others may not be so lucky. Narrowing down what you want and need (work for your situation and be comfortable at the same time) can save you from buying several cups that might not work for you! Check out these videos for more info: How to choose a Menstrual Cup - goo.gl/3eRKEW How to locate and measure your cervix - goo.gl/sXLNeu If you need further assistance, I'd be happy to suggest a couple of cups :) Until then, good luck!

@RedHerringTV 6 жыл бұрын
Hi CrystalBallon! It's possible. The OrganiCup is a lot more firm than I had expected it to be. In fact, I was quiet surprised that it was as firm as it was. I was always under the impression that it was a very soft cup until I received it. Anyhow, I would probably try a cup that was a tad softer. However, changing the size or shape of a cup may also relieve that feeling or the cramps since the pressure might be shifted to another area that isn't so sensitive. For instance, I can use large cups, bell shaped cups, firm cups, and cups with a flared rim. The large Lena Cup Original gave me some cramping and pressure. However, I can use the large Sensitive Lena, or the small sized Lena Cups without any issues. So changing the firmness or the size in this case worked fine for me. If you like the shape and size of the OrganiCup, you can check the link below to see if there are any other cups similar that interest you. bit.ly/2qOSr0E I don't have any "squish" comparisons of the OrganiCup (yet) so if you see a cup that interests you, I can tell you if it's softer or not. I'll try to upload some comparisons of the OrganiCup this week. Good Luck and Happy Hunting :D

Hello! I've been loving all your comparison videos, they've been a lot of help. I was wondering if you could shine some light onto this issue I had. So far I've had success with my diva small and my lunette small. I've come to the conclusion that I prefer V shaped cups since they seem to stay put compared to the bell shaped cups that ride all the way up to my cervix. The sckoon small cup always seemed to slide too far up, and I always had trouble retrieving it; what's worst is that it always leaked on me, no matter what i did. Perhaps it was too soft? So my second bell shaped cup, the Lena small did something even worst! Last month I tried it for the first time, after putting it in for about 15-30 minutes, it caused me to feel sick. I got light headed, dizzy, and felt heaviness on my chest. The symptoms stayed all day until i took the Lena cup out at the end of the day. Since this hasn't happened with the other three cups that I've tried, I was wondering if you knew what could have caused it. Was it bc the Lena was TOO firm? Or maybe it has something to do with the shape? Since it's bell shaped, maybe it was pressing too hard on my cervix? Since the diva cup worked for me, I ordered the Evacup upon your recommendation, and I'm very excited to receive it in the mail any day now! Next on my list is the Yuuki rainbow cup, hopefully it's not too soft causing leakage, but oh the colors!! I think I want to try the Yuuki soft version as well. I'm really tempted to try the Super Jennie cup based on your reviews but since it's both bell shaped and on the softer side I'm afraid it won't work for me. Hi hon! Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad that my video/s have been helpful to you :) I do like the V shaped cups myself, but I also find the hybrids - bell with regular rim, are just as comfy and give me more capacity when I need it. The Sckoon is a short cup to begin with, so the small seems even smaller compared to some of the other cups on the market. I notice that with small cups, I do miss my cervix more frequently and need to pull the cup back to readjust it. I personally feel like it's the small diameter that's throwing me off. I know that a soft small cup can miss my cervix and go into my vaginal fornix (the space around the cervix) and not in the way that I want. For me, the cups rim normally sits in the fornix with my cervix nestled in the cup, but on occasion a folded cup will snug up there next to my cervix :( If you're experiencing leaks, do you check that your cervix is inside of the cup? If it is, since it's small, your cervix might be sitting too far into the cup taking up more of the already little capacity of the small Sckoon. You might want to try the large Sckoon, as it is still shorter than most "average" large cups. It could also be too soft, but I don't think that's the case in your situation. Funny you should say that about the Lena Cup. That's exactly what happened to me when I got the large cup. I still can't use it. It gave me terrible cramps and I got light headed. I even felt a bit nauseous :( I removed the cup and the feeling subsided. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence and inserted the cup again a few hours later. Same thing :| I can use a firm cup, bell shaped cup, a flared rim, but the combo of everything about the Lena large original just didn't sit right with me. I can however, use the small original (one of my favs for cup sex) and both sizes of the sensitive Lena Cups with no issues. I can't tell you exactly what's happening with you, but I'd try it again to make sure it wasn't just a coincidence. If it happens again, then that's just not the cup for you :( I'm excited for you to receive the EvaCup :) Let me know how it goes! The Yuuki Rainbow is SO purdy! I know colors don't really matter but anything to make me smile a little more during my period is a bonus LOL It is the softest of the Yuuki, but it still isn't the softest cup out there. The regular rim with a secondary rim will hopefully be enough to keep it from collapsing on you. The SJ is a great cup, but if you're scared it'll be too soft, maybe the LaliCup medium or large will be a better match for you. Both the SJ and LaliCup have a regular rim and I find that neither of them ride up too high. As for the Moon Cups, I only have the USA version in a size B. Sorry, I can't do that comparison for you :( The medium firmness cups have been quite a challenge for me. I think I'm going to have to break them down into "V" & "Bell" shaped cups and leave out all the "cheapies" and "unique" shapes. There are just WAY too many cups.

Thanks for your advice! I'll put the large sckoon on my list of cups to try :) , it'll be nice to have a larger capacity too for those heavier days. I did notice that the sckoon small was just a little too small and it would constantly angle itself away from my cervix, I guess into that fornix region that you mentioned. Thats crazy that you experienced that same thing with the lena. I was watching another youtuber, thecakefate, and she had experienced similar things with menstrual cups in general. She'd given up on using them, until she found the yuuki rainbow, which didn't cause the nausea and lightheaded-ness. According to her it was something called the vasovagal response. Anyhow, I contacted the Lena company yesterday, and they were very understanding and offered me a full refund for the cup. I really like the fun colors they offer, the quality is perfect, and their customer service was the best. I've been on a huge menstrual cup kick lately, its so addicting! I have such a good experience with them, so I keep wanting more! I definitely want to try the Lalicup too, for the precise reasons that you mentioned. Good capacity, and firmer than the SJ, and they don't ride up too high. I'll have to get back with you on how the evacup works for me. Hope you're having a good day!

Oh really? I'll have to ask Stephanie (thecakefate aka the owner of Fig Leaves Pads) about that. I've heard of Vasovagal Syncope but didn't think it could be triggered by a cup. I actually thought it started in the mouth area. I have no problem saying idk wth it's about lol I'll have to read up on it! Lena customer service is one of the best I've ever encountered. They're quick, too! If you didn't already look at my comparison tool, you can see the size of the Sckoon against other cups. Here's the link: bit.ly/2qOSr0E DUDE! Tell me about cup addiction! A cup that is too firm may make you feel like you need to urinate more frequently, feel like you don't empty your bladder completely when you do, experience a slow urine stream, or even have constipation. If urine is getting block, you may end up with a urinatary tract infection as bacteria will have time to fester. I would suggest trying a softer cup or trying the cup while it's turned inside out - ONLY do this if you are comfortable removing the cup without a stem.

Hey. I’m not sure if you’ll see this but just in case you do. I’m trying to find a new menstrual cup. You’re the only person I’ve seen that also has the Green Cup of Maine. I randomly got it on Amazon a couple years ago and it’s been my favorite cup ever. Do you know which cups are similar to this one when it comes to the firmness? Thanks so much

Hi Caitlyn! I always try to reply to everyone :) However, my replies to tend to run late. I'm sorry about that. Soooo, the manufacture of the Green Cup of Maine also makes a few other cups that are (or are nearly) the same. Depending on where you're located, they can be found under these names: Casco Cup, Freedom Cup, Agua Cup, LifeCup, Mahina Cup, V-Cups, and Wā Cup. There's a couple more but I know one is slightly more firm and they've asked not to be included in this list. If you need some other cup suggests that are similar but not exactly the same, can you please tell me which size you purchased so that I can match the diameter?

If you want to stay on the safe side, one of the cups that I listed previously will be the same - everythin, except maybe in color. One more cup I forgot to mention is the Hesta Cup which is the same - everything, and it's been the cheapest that I've spotted. Sometimes going as low as $3.00 on eBay. You may wonder why so cheap and if it's the real deal...yes it is. The Hesta company offered SO many of their cups for as little as 90 cents to review sites in exchange for a review that people bought them thinking they could sell them for more. When they listed them for sale, everyone had to under cut the price, so the price dropped really low. I haven't checked recently, but they're probably still pretty inexpensive. You might also think about small sized cups if your flow isn't very heavy. Like the small and large Green Cup of Maine, the length may be the same. Even if a cup is firmer, the smaller size won't apply the same pressure because it's more narrow. So cups like Diva 1, Monthly Cup normal, Juju model 3 (high cervix), CupLee large, may still be comfortable for you.

If you can't insert the cup completely, as in, it sticks out of the vaginal opening, you may have a medium to a low cervix. If that's the case, you might want to try a shorter cup or one with a flared rim and rounded base. These tend to be more comfortable for a medium/low cervix. Good Luck

I feel so stupid for not watching this video in the first place. I have the Lena cup (my first cup) and it's just not doing it for me. The insertion part is what troubles me. I've looked at countless websites and videos just to find techniques to insert my cup. I really wanted it to work but it just cant. Awww :( I'm sorry that you're having some troubles getting your cup inserted without pain! You can try inserting the cup lower if possible so that you don't hit your cervix. You can also see if my "Troubleshooting" for soft cups helps. bit.ly/2fYnyWA Around time stamp 1:40 I let the cup slowly open against my finger. I know you're not having trouble getting your cup to open because it's soft, but using your finger might shield or guard your cervix from getting smacked! @RedHerringTV

In my opinion it is easier to hold the fold on a softer cup, but you might find other issues of getting it open. Some people have no problems getting soft cups to open and others do. It's not impossible, but it might take some figuring out if you're one of those people. I still think it's worth a shot though. A bit of fiddling to get a cup to open is WAY better than getting a kung fu kick to your cervix :(

I bought a generic cup just to try it out and really like it once I get it positioned and popped open. I believe I need a firmer cup than the one I have now. I know there is a learning curve when first learning to use a period cup but with 2 kids i don't have time to adjust and readjust and fool around with my cup every time I need to empty it. I have a high cervix and a heavy flow for about 3 days, a couple of medium flow days, and a couple light day of my period. I was thinking of ordering a firm cup. I'm not an athlete but do have 2 boys to chase around. So I need a cup that pops open easy and stay in place. Also if it would not be too expensive that would be good. I am thinking a medium firm cup might work for me? Which cup do you recommend?

Hi Ginger! First of all, welcome to the world of cupping! I'm glad that your first cup worked for you, even if it wasn't 100% everything you hoped it would be. Hopefully, you can find another cup that "fits" you comfortably and works perfectly for you. High cervix and heavy to light flow, medium firm cup. I'm thinking Yuuki SOFT version or even CLASSIC version. The soft version is still not very soft. Some people with sensitive bladders still find it a bit too firm for them. The classic version is the firmest cup out there that I know of. I'm not sure if you want to go THAT firm, but you know the sucker will be open....no doubt! Yuuki can be found pretty inexpensive on Amazon (USA). I've purchased a few Yuuki's from there and I did contact the Yuuki owner to confirm it was genuinely from the company. amzn.to/2qKR2wS Which generic cup did you get? Does it have a name? Since you don't have any other cups to really compare the firmness to, the ones that I thought were around the same length and a bit more firm are: Casco Cup, EvaCup, Yuuki Rainbow, Yuuki Soft. This order is softest to firmest. The Yuuki SOFT on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the firmest, I would say it's a 3.5. It would definitely pop open easier than the cheapie you have. I have 7 cups that look like the Intimate Rose cup. They were all different names and some that didn't have a name. They all feel different in firmness but are 2 or under on a 1-5 scale.

If your period isn't super heavy you can try the small. Sometimes just the size can make a big difference in if a cup will cause cramping. I personally thing it has to do with where the rim is applying that pressure. I find the Lena large which is firm, gives me quite a lot of cramping but the small feels comfortable. You can also step down to a cup that's not as firm.

Red Herring That's really interesting. Our bodies are so unique! I love that you share information and can keep getting information from others to start generalizing patterns. I have tried both Lena small and large. I never cramp unless I wear the Lena small. I still have not figured out why, but I don't like pain so I have simply stopped trying once I figured out that the large does not cause cramping and it's better for my heavy flow anyways. I have been curious to try the Super Jennie for its larger capacity, but I am scared to try a softer cup, since I sometimes have to work to get the Lena to open. Thanks for making your videos! Heavy period, high cervix, crampy :( You can look into the Med or Large Lalicup, Med or Large LuvUrBody, or Large Super Jennie (I suggest the dark blue since it's verified by the company to be the only one that's a bit more firm that the other colors). The LaliCup is medium firmness but has a secondary rim. It's a rounded based cup giving you a good capacity but still works well with a high cervix. The LuvUrBody is said to have the highest capacity and is long. SJ is another high capacity cup that's bell shaped but still works well for a high cervix. It's a softer cup, and you might have to learn how to get it to open for your body. A few others you can look into are the EvaCup, Diva Cup, Green Cup of Maine or Casco Cup (same cup by the same maker, different names). However, these two probably don't have as high as capacity as the others. The EvaCup, GCoM, Casco and Diva are longer cups. The Diva Cup would be the firmer cup of these. If I had to narrow it down: LaliCup, SJ or EvaCup. I pick these (not only because they're my top 3 favs) because Lali large has a high capacity and a secondary rim that will still (hopefully) be easy to get open. SJ for the capacity even though some have issues getting it open (I have a troubleshooting video for it), and EvaCup because it's soft, but has a high secondary rim that helps it open. It's the cup that eased my own cramps. If you want more info on the others, let me know. If you don't like the ones I mentioned, let me know too and I'll go back and see what else might work for you :D

Red Herring Thank you for all the information and wow that was a quick response! I did a little research on the cups you mentioned and I'm leaning towards the evacup. The design reminds me of my luna (mexico) cup without the frills.

BellaMichelle I think the EvaCup is a good choice. I hope it works for you. Don't forget to use my discount code if you buy it directly from their site: anigan.com code: RedHerringTV. The GCoM and Casco holes 30ml to just under the air holes and 40ml to the very top of the rim with it creating a bubble. You wouldn't want to use the cup until this measurement as ANY movement will definitely make the cup overflow. Are you in the USA? Do you still use your Luna Cup? Isn't the capacity of the large only 20ml or something really low?

What does sensitive bladder mean?
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 6 жыл бұрын
If you have pain or extra cramps while using a cup, it might be applying too much pressure on your bladder or urethra. A sign that you may have a sensitive bladder may be that you feel like you need to urinate more often, feel like you don't fully empty your bladder when you do urinate, or if you have a slow urine flow. A softer cup may help ease that pressure.

Hello, I recently tried the meluna classic small for the first time. I only tried it for three days. I think the the cup was too short and too soft for me. When I took out my cup I noticed it was more of an oval shape rather than circular. Do I need a narrower/ longer cup or do I just need a firmer cup? I had to have my obgyn remove my cup with tongs so I'm a little scared to try cups again😂 She threw out my cup and told me she doesn't think cups are for me. But she said she doesn't have too much knowledge about it. I'd really appreciate any tips (。♥‿♥。)

I've only had my MeLuna Classic Medium for 3 days, and it comes out oval too. ( ) I believe that's due to the TPE material as I've read it forms to your body when it's warm. I think my cervix is fairly low as the ball stem on my medium just fits inside of me. I would guess you just need a longer/larger cup size. You can't actually lose it, so try relaxing knowing it can't hurt you if it swims upward again before going to the OBGYN if you decide to give cups another try?

I did try cups again. I bought a Lena and I think that was better for me since it's so firm. Barely any leakage with the Lena but since it's so firm taking it out hurt a lot. Maybe I'm just inexperienced with that >.< I tried a Lunette after that and I think it's just slightly firmer than the Meluna I had. I experienced more leakage with the Lunette compared to my Lena but maybe it's just from my placement. But overall I think I like my Lunette the best out of the three. I figured out my own way of getting it out when it rides up lol so less freaking out. I kind of want to try another firmer cup to see if it'll help with leakage

I got a lunette for my first cup. I didn’t do much research but read the reviews before getting it and it had pretty good ratings. But I found it way too big and hard for me. Although I didn’t feel the cup inside, I kept getting cramps. Felt like there was a stone inside me. I am 40 and had 2 children vaginally. I am very active. Tennis, running, swimming, jiu jitsu and more. So, I was going to get either the sckoon or lily. But now that you’ve said that it might not be a good idea for active women, I am having second thoughts. 😢 Can you suggest a second cup for me please? I actually have no idea if I have a low cervix or not. I never heard it so I’m guessing I’m not. Do want to check one day with the Dr. Are there ways you can check on you own? Maybe with fingers or a tool??? Lol thank you!!!
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 6 жыл бұрын
Hello There! First of all, congrats for at least trying a cup :) The Lunette is a great cup, but it is on the firmer side which makes it not so great for those with sensitivities in the area. Can you elaborate on how it feels "too big"? Like, does it feel too long or too wide? It could possibly just feel too "big" because it's too firm. A slightly softer cup might work better for you. Perhaps something of a more "medium" firmness will feel more comfortable and still be reliable for your activities. If the Lunette (large?) feel too long, then the Lily Cup probably wouldn't be a good idea. It's considered one of the longer cups on the market. The Sckoon may work for you if your cervix is on the lower side. Bell-shaped cups with a flared rim like the Sckoon, tend to ride up and sit higher than "V" shaped cups like the Lunette. The Sckoon is also quite a bit softer than the Lunette. So first of all, if you check the height of your cervix if would help determine what shape might work for you a bit better. Here's a video that might help you find and measure your cervix: goo.gl/zUwDix It is kind of old so forgive the bad quality but it'll still give you an idea of how to do this from the comfort of your own bathroom! :P

Here are a couple of cups that I would suggest checking out: Casco small (not mini) or large - These cups are softer than the Diva Cup (which I use for a base line medium firm cup in all of my firmness comparisons). A lot of people who find the Diva Cup to be too firm, find the Casco Cup just right. The small is the small length as the large, but the diameter is more narrow. A narrower cup even if it's a bit firmer, will still take some of that pressure away. This cup can also be found under the names MyEverCup, Hesta Cup, VCups, Green Cup of Maine, and a few others. Check around to see which one is affordable. Venus Cup small, large, or starter kit with both sizes - The small and large are the same total length with the stems intact. This is a medium/soft cup. They have a regular upper rim and a slight thickening of silicone to help with opening. The large has an extra inner ring to assist with opening, as well. The Casco small & large, and the Venus Cup large, are cups that I like to suggest to those with a high cervix and sensitivities. If neither of these cups appeal to you, let me know and I'll see what other options I can come up with. Good Luck

Hello again! I got my Venus cup small and I started tu use it. The first two days went perfect. As usual, first day I wast spotting and very light flow and second day light flow. I had the feeling the cup opend alone very easily and that a strong seal was created, and I was very confortable with it. However, I'm now on my third day, which is the one with the heaviest flow, and something is wrong. When I insert the cup a good seal seems to be created (but not as good as during the two first days), but after a couple of hours it seems that the seal is lost or something is happening. I start leaking as if the cup were full, but when I take it out it is only half full. Is it possible that the seal is more difficult to create when the flow is heaviest (because of the vagina being wet)? Is it normal that the seal is lost once it is created? What could be the problem here? Could the cup be too small for me? I chose Venus small because I have a medium to low cervix, and in that sense I found it perfect. Thanks

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that you're having some issues with the Venus Cup. Are you checking that the cup is positioned right below or right around your cervix? It's possible that your cervix is sitting deep into the cup and taking up some of the capacity, making it overflow sooner rather than later. It could be why the cup is only half full when removed :( It probably wasn't a problem earlier because your flow is lighter. You might get more use time out of a cup with a wider body. Something like the Merula or Merula XL. These are short cups with a wide-body and a higher capacity. Both sizes have been reported to work well with a medium to a low cervix.

@@RedHerringTV thank you for answering! Thank you for your suggestions. Could it be that the cup is moving because it is too narrow? Or that the blood goes out through the holes? In 3 of 4 of the cases of leakage it was just after I was lying down, when I woke up (no leakeage during the night) and stood up to go to the toilet, and while lyin on the beach. I am sad, I was so happy for the first 2 days and really loved this cup, feels confortable, opens easily (i have arthritis in my fingers and can't move them too much inside). I can't explore extensively because my fingers anen't too flexible, but it does seem to me that the cup is positioned around my cervix. As I assumed that the cup was too narrow for me and thus moved or lost seal, I was thinking of Lena cup (which is wider), but if the problem is as you say that the cervix fits in then it won't solve the problem, right? As I remember you said that Merula was difficult to open, and I am a bit afraid I won't be able to maneouver tot open it with my fingers. Would Merula XL fit a low to medium retroverted cervix (one knucke and a half, or a bit more of my longest finger). Would my cervix fit in it if it did with the Venus Small? Also, I exercise. What do would you recommend? Merula, Merula XL or Lena Large?
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 5 жыл бұрын
Do you have FB? I can send some comparison photos of the cups next to each other so you can gauge their size. It is possible that a cup is too narrow and that that's the reason it's losing its seal or moving, but I can't guarantee that that's the situation for you. Sadly, I can never guarantee any situation when it comes to someone else's body and with any given cup. Having blood leak through the holes is another possibility. I'm sorry to hear about your arthritis. I have it terribly, but so far only on my left hand (and knees) and it's not consistent. Luckily I don't use that hand to insert/remove my cup. While the Lena Cup is awesome, the flared rim will probably make it snuggle higher into the vaginal fornix and again you'll lose some of the capacity if your cervix is sitting deep inside of it. The Merula original was difficult for me to open, but I was also working with a high cervix. The Merula XL was much easier to open. It might also be easier to place with a retroverted cervix. Since the diameter is so wide, targeting your cervix won't need to be as precise. I've heard a lot of people with a medium, medium/low, and low cervix say that the Merula XL is comfortable since it has a round base. However, many of them have trimmed the ladder stem completely off. I don't see removing it a problem unless the user has a very high cervix and needs a ring to reach it, but that shouldn't be your case. Because this cup is wide and the silicone itself isn't extremely soft, the body shape makes it WANT to open and stay open. I categorize this cup as medium/firm and think it would do well during workouts. It holds 50ml to the rim and has no air holes. Which means it should accommodate your cervix and your flow, should create a good suction, and should eliminate any early leaking from holes. Let me know if there's somewhere I can send some photos if you'd like to see these cups lined up - FB? Email? Or if you have any other cups in mind. :)

@@RedHerringTV Oh, that would be awesome if you could send me some comparison photos of the two! I chose those two base on your comparison table. :-) Something with capacity but not too long. My facebook is facebook.com/meritxell.prat.98. Merula XL sounds good! Good to know some people with medium/low cervix ave used it! Now that I am at the end of the period with light flow, Venus is just perfect, no leakage. It is a good cup. I guess it is the cervix being inside issue, I've been exploring more, and definitely my cervix sits in. I think Merula XL might be a good choice for that heavy-flow day! Even with the Cervix sitting in, it should be enough to lastlonger. Anyway if you can send me the comparison of Merula XL with Lena, I would be very grateful. Also if you could show me a comparison not only of lenght but of the diameter too, would be great... I'm really sorry to hear about your arthritis too. I have reumatoid arthritis, I had it all over the body and was very limitating some years ago. Now I'm doing really well, it's just the hands. So I want you to know it is possible to improve, whatever doctors say! I've been doing lots of emotional work, having a good diet, and NEURAL THERAPAY has helped really a lot! Also Dr. Joe's Dispenza meditations have helped during the last year. Really hope you get better!

I sent you some photos and a friend request so that they're not sitting in your "requested messages" or whatever it's called. The Merula XL also looks really big and bulky. I was worried about it until I actually had it in my hands. It's not as intimidating in real life. My sister and I had "children's arthritis". Mine continued well into my 20's. I used to have to sit in very hot water and couldn't walk. It's been a long time since I've had it that bad. My knees and hips will act up every once in a while but it's mostly my hands, too. I notice that a lot of my aches and pains growing up are now replaced with aches and pains of getting older :P Thanks for the tips. I'll check out Dr. Joe's Dispenza.

@RedHerringTV 4 жыл бұрын
@@thecryptocoach7675 If the length is comfortable, I'm thinking it's probably a little too wide or too firm for you. Even if a cup is on the firm side, if it's narrower it will ease some of that pressure. Same goes for a cup that's the same width but softer - it may also ease the pressure. So first, the Diva Cup has a model 0 now. It's the same length but has a narrower diameter. It will hold less, but it will also alleviate the pressure. If you like the Diva Cup, you might consider sticking with the company. The Casco Cup (also may be found under the names Green Cup of Maine, Hesta, MyEverCup) is about the same length and width, but slightly softer in the rim and body. A lot of people who find the Diva Cup too firm, feel that the Casco Cup is the softer and more comfortable alternative. Check out these two cups and see if they interest you. If they don't, I can suggest some softer cups but they probably won't be as long.

Does the Lena sensitive have a medium or soft firmness?
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 7 жыл бұрын
The Lena "Sensitive" is a softer cup than their "Original" but I do see that the body is still too firm for some people. On a scale between 1-5 (5 being the firmest) I would place the Lena "Sensitive": Rim - 2 Body - 3 The rim might be soft enough to keep the extra pressure off of your sensitive area. If you're still worried about bladder issues, you might look into a bell shaped cup with a regular rim. Here's a video that I did for someone with a low cervix: bit.ly/2s9OQxV I go over cups with a flared rim and a regular rim. Maybe it'll give you some leads :) Good Luck!

The Si-Bell is a really soft cup. It may ease some of your sensitivity issues but you may find it a bit of a challenge to open. I do have a video on troubleshooting soft cups if you find it a problem. As for the Sckoon, the rim is thicker making it a little more firm than the Ruby. So it might not be the best option, but I can't say that it definitely won't work. Give the Si-Bell a try first. :)

Hi there, where do the MeLuna Classic and the Ladycup fall on the firmness chart? Thanks!
@RedHerringTV
@RedHerringTV 7 жыл бұрын
Hi La Rez! The MeLuna Classics seems to differ in firmness (IMO). The larger they get, the more rigid they are. So that being said... The medium classic MeLuna is softer in the rim, but a tad more rigid in the body...very slight. The large classic MeLuna is more firm overall in rim and body than the LadyCup. Since these two cups are made of different materials, (MeLuna - TPE and LadyCup - Silicone) they do feel different from each other. IMO, the MeLuna feels more like plastic and doesn't have that springiness like the LadyCup. This alone makes the MeLuna feel more rigid....again, IMO.
