Thanks for doing this, it really should settle the argument about the durability of the new Fusso. Real life testing is the best way but many "reviewers" want a test that gives a result quickly.

I dampen the sponge and apply it extremely thin Just lightly turn the sponge 2 times in the can Apply and wait about a minute Buff it off then use a clean micro fiber to buff it again I get no high spots It’s much faster this way And I get no wax residue left over after finishing It lasts for me between 9-12 months using a ph neutral car washing soap.

@DetailingandtheBeast2 жыл бұрын
There will be no video on this unfortunately, I'm currently on an extended break from KZbin that I don't expect to end any time soon. As for the test, I can tell you it's been running since August '21 (so like 8+ months) and I haven't topped up that bonnet at all. The two are fading at a similar rate, with the old being ever so slightly better. But.. if they weren't side by side you'd never be able to differentiate them. You should have no worries telling people that they are almost identical at 8 months.

I've both of these but other than the smell there wasn't much between them I thought. I don't think new fusso is improved enough to justify the price increase
@DetailingandtheBeast3 жыл бұрын
Exactly! I arent going to go into the price, because the original was such a bargain, and in my opinion under priced. But yes, it is a factor. It's why I'm doing this because the only really factor for Fusso is longevity.
@Chris_82703 жыл бұрын
If your apply it once a year and applying it pretty thin on the paint then cost isn't really an issue as it will last a while. Currently have two coats of new fusso and a coat of king of gloss on my own car, applied them about 3 months ago and they are still going really strong. I do think when it comes to testing this kind of products it needs to be over a long period of time
@DetailingandtheBeast3 жыл бұрын
Good combo! Yeah that's why I'm doing this one properly. I cant obviously test every product I try in "real time" but I do think this one is a good one to do.

Just a quick question what is the result of a new update on the soft 99 I know the old stuff was absolute kryptonite and yes I am using the word kryptonite how is the new one doing or should I stick to my polymer net shield that is guaranteed for 6 months with maintenance from BSD every 3 months obviously the European markets were robbed of some of the chemical make-up we all look forward to it
@DetailingandtheBeast2 жыл бұрын
6 months in now and it is still as good as the original, so much negativity around the formula change online, and my conclusion is that nobody has actually done this test. Because if they had, half of the BS people spout would stop.
@diljitjedi2 жыл бұрын
@@DetailingandtheBeast the old kryptonite soft99 was very good even if we get 7 to 8 months with the new formula a lot of us would be extremely happy keep up the good work mate I think I will order some this is the type of stuff I want to use on my wheel barrels Hobbs and the fascia of the wheel to give me a long Winter longevity

Great comparison ... heard you mentioned that you use 2 layers ... how long in between before you apply the 2nd coat?
@DetailingandtheBeast3 жыл бұрын
If using something else on top it needs a little while like 8 - 24 hours to gas off. Given that two layers of fusso is just "more of the same" you will get away with an hour between, then leave it for a day before touching it afterwards.
@marcjarvis39753 жыл бұрын

Hmm yeah I kinda get what you mean, I like it on "richer" colours, reds, blues, etc. Seems to just shine so easily. Now the cleanliness thing is interesting because I think it was the main difference between light and dark variances, pretty sure it was the lights that have paint cleansers in there.

@andrewbranford20323 жыл бұрын
At least it's a real review on fusso new too
@DetailingandtheBeast3 жыл бұрын
But we dont know that. This is the point. If it's way worse then it's a no brainer, they've ruined it. But, if it's a very similar experience,and longevity is unaffected, then people can continue to buy it in the confidence that its going to be a s good as the old one that we all knew and loved.

And it's not a "review", it's a simple test... "Does the new one last like the old one?" I dont believe this has been done properly before, just people guessing and summising on what they think it's like in comparison.

Looking forward to this real life test. Do you think, as its going to be long term monitoring, that it might be worthwhile extending the test down the sides, old down one, new down the other? Could even do the tailgate to get the full analysis, if you're going to the trouble of giving it a proper test which it sounds like you will be? Just my thoughts anyway, it might show how each does in those particularly grimy areas you find down the sides and rear.

Yeah just been to revisit that, a lot of "maybes" and "guesses" in that video. Simulated on a static panel with chemical resistance only. My mini series is a real test, on a car, driving around. Way more realistic than what Forensics did in that video. The results may well come out to be the same as a simulated chemical resistance test. But as you will have seen from the TurtleWax Graphene videos I've done, chemical resistance means jack against a real life situation. 😊👍
