Hello, your video is very helpful for someon who is just starting architecture and should know the lay of the land. I have been working for 10 months now in an architecture firm as an architect project intern and my company of course uses autocad for the 2d modeling and the structure of the presntation. After that they usually import the design in Rhino which they use to create the 3d modeling and then with vray they make the rendering. Also if they have a competition they use photoshop to show their ideas and such. For me its good to also know a beam kind of software like archicad which helps nowadays. I started learning about it myself for a previous firm i was doing my internship and they were making very nice and clean 2d and 3d altogether drawings. The good thng about archicad and rhinoceros is that you can make you 2d into a 3d and automatically have the elevations as well as the sections without creating something from the begining and making sure each and every one of your designs are the same concerning the height the lenghts. I hope this helps someone who is learning now about the world of softwares.

My friend you mixed up things , there is cad , 3d cad , B.I.M and viualization , and u listed Archicad and revit under cad software which is wrong , they should be under BIM , and Archicad is not as u described , its one of the very first BIM softwares .

Thank you for your comment. You are right, but one thing. This is not a top of the "best programs". In this video, I divided software, on employer requirements. I have been done research about "what the companies asking for". So as you know most employers think as Revit ArchiCAD and AutoCAD the similar. This is research about the market. For the students. That's why I did it like this. Thank you again!

@@NikoG I also hate to listen only to the market if u compare Archicad and Revit u will c that Archicad is more user friendly yet very powerful BIM but the marketing is better in case of Revit .

That's the point. I agree with you about the ArchiCAD. I know well the Archicad too. But the reals is that the Autodesk grab all market. That is sad... no competition in the market

7:14 By design software i understand something else. Photoshop/ Premiere/ After Effects/ Corel or Illustrator is used on post production, which is damn important but not on design. Here on design software you should place Inventor/ Solidworks and Fusion.
