I worked in the sex industry most of my life on and off. I never had a pimp, but knew and worked with many girls who did. TBH so many girls who didn’t have pimps made ridiculous amounts of money and had nothing to show for it. No car, staying with whoever or in hotels. Drug habits etc. The girls who did have pimps always seemed happier. They had a home , car, clothes...everything they needed. It’s like they needed someone to tell them what to do because they were never taught how to do it themselves. I don’t know the answer as to why or good vs evil. Just what I observed. Never once did I see a girl forced into the life.

Thank you for this comment. I believe this subculture is very misunderstood, partly because there are so many abusive hustlers taking advantage of vulnerable women. It’s a very confusing world these people live in. The women often come from families where abuse was just accepted or endured. That leads these women to seek out similar treatment as adults, but sometimes these men truly help and guide their girls. Probably not in ways that everyone would approve of, but certainly better than their alternatives given their upbringing. There’s a wide range of what I’m calling “pimps” and some are pure evil and some do good by their girls. These men use charisma and other skills to attract women into their world, but to simply condemn and hate them ensures that nothing will ever change.

@@SoftWhiteUnderbelly Yes, I understand that you interview folks that are not easy to like or understand. You challenge the viewer to sit with those people rather than pass them by on the street - that's exactly why I'm a fan of SWU. In fact, SWU will be destroyed if it ever gives in to people-pleasing. I'm sure you won't let that happen. Keep 'em coming, I go through 3-5 interviews a day while I work.

@@nextlvlroyYou just displayed how blissful ignorance really is. No shade to you at all, tho. He “enjoys” it because it’s all he’s ever known. He doesn’t know what it’s like to grow up with both parents, or to hang out with friends his age before during or after school and do regular kid shit, or to be on a sports team, or fill out job/college applications, or anything even seemingly normal. Just like how someone who *has* experienced all of that can say that gang members, drug dealers, pimps, or anyone from a bad neighborhood all live “cool, luxurious lives.” Ain’t nothin cool or luxurious about them or their lives, they just gotta put on a certain image/persona to survive in their game. Deep down, this dude’s probably got a lot of regrets, short-comings, and a helluva lot of demons. Dude came from the underbelly of society, just like me. And I can tell you with a heavy ass heart that it’s not as fun as it’s portrayed on social media. It’s not fun to see people you grew up with go to prison, get killed, or wind up homeless or dead cuz they’re hooked on drugs. It wasn’t fun to be kept up all night with gunshots right outside the window or be on a neighborhood lockdown cuz someone was found with a knife in his throat just up the block. He was lucky to make it out by doing shady shit, I was lucky to make it out by staying in school and keeping my head straight. That’s just how it ends: luck. Whether it’s good or bad, that’s what it comes down to. But in no way is it something to admire. I’m not looking for pats on the back or anything, and I doubt he is either, but regardless it’s just not something that should be celebrated. From an outsider’s perspective, anyone would think that Sharp is living some typa fucked up dream, but to most people who also got the chance to live like that, it’s gotta be some of the darkest and loneliest shit to have to go through just to make some money and flex on everybody.

IDC what anyone says, this dude got a lot of heart. Everyone wants to avoid the reality behind the title but that just shows how much you can't stomach what you don't know, and so then why your opinion is irrelevant. When you have limited options, you survive in anyway possible or you get trampled on. And if you can't sell your dream, you don't get to live it. Nothing but respect for this dude. Big energy. He became a man with only this idea of who he could be to go off of hella young, and lesser men/women are going to either be inspired or intimidated. You couldn't hold a conversation with the guy, let alone have the right to knock him. Period!

@ShadesAndBoots
@ShadesAndBoots 3 жыл бұрын
@@szsz8177 Oh, is that how an interview works? A person asks questions and another person answers? Interesting, bc that's definitely not the same thing as a monologue. "Mono" meaning 'one' and "logue" meaning 'speech', as in: a speech given by one. An interview is a form of dialogue, where questions are asked in hopes to receive answers and knowledge. Moreover, my comment was referring to ppl in his everyday life. I wasn't saying he was monologuing *here* just implying he has a lot to say about a lot of subjects. Don't try to correct someone if you don't know what you're talking about.

@@ShadesAndBoots yes i know what monologue means. I always thought that when you interview someone, it's because you're interested in how this person thinks and you wanna learn more about his mindset, lifestyle or whatever the questions are about etc. so FROM one person TO another and not in both sides. ooow okey i got it oke oke now i understand you more about 'monologuing here' but i think you can't know this because it's an inverview, so answeres are asked and he answeres that's how it works no? So i don't think you can take this as a reference to how he would be in real life because i think everyone is like that in an interview, so that will mean that everyone has an monologue with people around him in real life??

I like sharp but he gives excuses without trying to portray them as excuses. He definitely chose the life. He made a choice to leave his other dreams alone, because he wanted the fast money and shiny things that pimps portray. He shits on other people who are doing the same thing because they didn’t do it “the right way“. It’s a crazy thing to be proud of.

Your 26 year old girlfriend when you were 14, was a sexual predator. Let’s start calling these things what they are. It’s sad how easily these people can fool themselves knowing damn well what they do isn’t right and that it isn’t a fulfilling as they would like to let on.

I regret that decision everyday lol. Dont play yo'self ese. Life aint clean for no one. Not you, me, or anyone reading these comments. Most of us are good people with good intentions. Life just fucks us in different ways. If you want to be real about your shit, tell us some fucked up shit about you instead of trying to tell someone else what's fucked up about them.
