When she said she’s ‘only on the fentanyl now for anxiety and almost off of it now too, ‘thank goodness’’ that is deep addiction talking. Just trying to minimize it as much as possible.

Yep, fentanyl is by far one of the most deadly, addictive substances someone can do, and justifying using it for that reason is super sad, especially for someone who's health and kids should be top priority, not drugs

yeah that was sad because it changed my view of her, less hopeful for the short term. Two years and she's still buying her own lie about it being not too addictive? IDK maybe she was lying to Mark for some ulterior motive, I honestly hope so and that she doesn't actually think that, because that is the thinking preceding more addiction not less.

When she said she didn't want her kids to be with her it broke my heart...THEN, as she started to tear up and say she "gave up", that changed everything. She gave up on herself. She didn't think she was a good Mom, didn't deserve it or wasn't fit. I can tell she loves her children but it's not about not wanting them. It's about the guilt she carries and the low self worth that she thinks she wouldn't be good enough for them. Samantha, if you ever read this, I am a Mom. Had my kids around the same time as you. Have gone through some things similar, very tough, situations and, TRUST ME, you can get through this and can be a good Mom but it's all up to you. It's all within you. Time will build confidence, trust and love within yourself and it will flow to others. From one Momma to another, we got your back 🙏🏼💜 Take care! From 🇨🇦

@@1110karin That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I disagree, as someone who has seen many lives turned upside down by these drugs. If you know how they hijack the brain, you'd know that an addict needs to go through AT LEAST 90 days sober before neuroplasticity begins to take place in the addicted brain. This means that neural pathways are rewired and reformed, but it takes a long time of sobriety and therapy before even becoming "normal" again. It's one step at a time. She has to be rehabilitated before she can get her children back. You have to see it from her point of view before "calling BS"

It takes work and dedication to raise kids. If you’re life is taking drugs on Skid Row, they are much better off in a home with people who can raise them. Sometimes giving them up is the most loving thing to do so they can have a chance at a normal life. Not everyone wants children.

Her saying it's easy to get off is just silly. I have met some people who seem like it doesn't affect them as much. But it takes months to keep it completely clean. The running to the bathroom and not sleeping take weeks to go away. You smell because it seeps out of your pores, and you can't be around anyone. I never want to go through that again.
