Sol De Janeiro has been DUPED? - McoBeauty Fragrance Mists

Sol De Janeiro has been duped yet again, this time by McoBeauty, an emerging brand in Australia that has also recently just branched out to the US! Are these fragrance mists too cheap to be true?

I’m in Australia. MCo Beauty is fantastic. Cheap and cheerful, it has completely upped my makeup game. Probably because I’m more willing to invest in something knowing that it doesn’t really matter if I don’t like it and I’m trying new techniques without the $$$. My daughter gets Glossier from overseas and the quality is comparable. The sprays are very nice. I’ve got 2 and 3, they’re a nice, everyday fragrance and I’ve received compliments. I don’t have a problem with it fading, yes I do spray more than perfume and I make sure to spray it in my hair and on my clothes. I would probably go for a more expensive perfume for a special night out but yeah, these are great for just day wear.

I bought all four of these MCobeauty body mists, and they are not bad for the price. K-mart has the Sol de Janeiro dupe body butters ($8.00 for 240ml tub), and I pair numbers 1, 2 & 3, MCobeauty body mists with these. The scent lasts longer on the skin. I'm so glad you did this review, and you should do more MCobeauty products videos. I got the MCobeauty "Flawless Glow" multitasking formula, and that's a spot on dupe of Charlotte Tilbury's. I'm all for saving money if the dupes are good. Thanks Zurri.

@@Zurri You won't be disappointed with the body butters. I was shocked at how close to the Sol de Janeiro ones they're dupes of. The ingredients are not the same but heck, I don't care. 😂 The body mists were disappointing. I didn't bother with those.

I originally bought no. 2 and 4 (ones I really wanted) for $16 each then later saw the Woolies sale and had FOMO so went and got the rest to complete the set.

I did the same. Two from Chemist Warehouse and two from Woolies. I wish I had known Woolies were having a half price sale. Still good value compared to SDJ that costs $41 now.

They're not always $10. Usually they're $20ea. I got no1-4 for $10ea and got no5 for $14.99

Big fan of MCo. I'm not a super confident makeup girly, so MCo has been wonderful - affordable way for me to branch out and try new things without worrying too much about wasting money on something that doesn't work out!

Putting it on paper changes the composition. Use it on skin for true fragrance.

Do you think it’s just the packaging that’s similar to high end,, or does it have the higher end ingredients too? Kinda like the brand No 7. Makeup Revolution has some high end dupes in similar packaging, and some are not very good while some of their others perform just like the high end. I have always liked E.L.F and they have some really good dupes as well now! So why not another brand trying to match the performance just as good as the high end!!

as someone in Australia who's been using mcobeauty for almost all my makeup for like 3 years, their concealers and all base products are AMAZING, idk how they get them so good for the price, their lip products are really good too, but I find none of their mascaras really have that 'wow' factor, they're kind of lacklustre. anyway overall they have really high end-like performance, I dont read the ingredients tbh but they seem to work as well as a lot of high end products
