I would be nice to refer to the Watts/Kilowatts used instead of Amps. Amps is not a measure of power, just a measure of current. I was trying to figure out your watts per mile. It might be that your better mileage on the first leg had to do with the manner of charging. even the most accepting of agm lead acid batteries have a maximum charge rate and will heat up shortening their life if charged at a high rate. It may be that you saw a higher charge than they actually were at. I suspect once you change to liPo you will have an easier and more reliable charging. I'm sure you have been through the maximum output of solar panels running about 75% of their panel rating.

Heh, nice..what sort of peak draw is the husqvarna chainsaw running at? I've got a VW T3 Van running a Yeti1250 solar generator as my onboard power, but it peaks around 1500W with the inbuilt inverter. The power saw would be a nice option at times instead of my normal ICE saw.
