Solar Powered & Heated Coleman 22x12 Pool

This is how I have my Coleman 22'x12' above ground Pool set up for Super Low Maintenance, Chemical Free, Crystal Clear Water and using Free excessive Summer Solar Power to run the pumps.

A lot of people here use a small wood burning water heater for their hot tubs. They work very fast and as long as you have wood are cheep to run.

The temps here don't get near as hot as your area for sure. Hot summer days are in the low 80's.

I will note down everything you advised , the solar panels. Without alteration would 2 heat the pool somewhat ? Either way greatly appreciate all your answers and suggestions and your time to make the video…..

I used 2 panels the first year and it would raise the pool temp about 5 degrees on a sunny day. Depending on you location and the amount of sunny days you get, 2 might be enough but I am in the Northern part of BC Canada and the night temps drop the pool temp quite a bit so I added 3 more to heat the pool faster.

Hi Norm ,I would really appreciate if you could help me …this is exactly the pool/setup I intend on buying for next year …is there any possibility you could please detail , where you purchased all additional instruments ? Did you put down lining for under the pool? How do you winterized it and do you keep it up in the winter? What type of plug will I need installed and can I run on heavy duty extension cord to the house ? Where do you purchase the salt for the salt device and where to purchase the solar powered block and do you remove that for the winter? What is the total cost of everything? I would really truly appreciate a detailed list , would be of tremendous help if you have a minute , appreciate your videos! This pool setup seems to be the best durable and cost effective option. For the winter do you drain the water out? Pump out with a pump? Thank you in advance!! Eva….the pump it comes with does it seem efficient ? And do you just replace the filters in that ? Every little detail will be of great value..TY

Thank you for the informative video. Im thinking of getting the same pool with the same intex 3000gph filter and salt water conversion. Can you please tell me if the tube sizes are compatible or did you have to purchase additional connectors? Thank you!

The hose fittings on the Intex pump are the same as the original pump so you can use the original hoses.

Hi Gregory, Yes! Both our 2017 VoltBike's the Yukon 750 and the Mariner are both running perfectly. The Yukon now has just over 15,000km and the Mariner has just over 14,000km. I must do a video on the soon.

@@pearsongregory-kip Hi Greg, I can also vouch for the brand Voltbike as I also have an Enduro from them boughten last fall! What I really like the most about buying from them is you get at least service. I'm also from Northern Ontario (Sault Algoma Region) and I've had a few times where my PAS level button was on the fritz, they sent me a new one under warranty that also included the color LED screen. You can at least reach someone is what I mean where as I have another foldable one I bought of Amazon and albeit there's some support but it just feels better knowing there's a company like Voltbike in Canada where you can turn to when things go South if they do. That said, my bike has been performing quite well and have been to some very remote places on it lately!
