Solar system : The solar system is a vast place that consists of the Sun, eight major planets, their moons, and numerous other smaller objects such as asteroids and comets. The sun is a gigantic ball of hot, glowing gas that provides light, heat, and energy to all the planets and other objects in the system. The Sun's gravity holds everything in the solar system together.
Mercury : Mercury, the nearest planet to the Sun in our solar system, holds the title of being the smallest. Its size is approximately one-third that of Earth, and its appearance resembles a small, grayish sphere.
Venus : Venus, almost equal in size to Earth, holds the distinction of being the hottest planet despite its greater distance from the Sun compared to Mercury. This extreme heat is a result of Venus's potent greenhouse effect.
Earth : our home, is situated as the third planet from the Sun in our solar system. Its perfect distance from the Sun enables water to exist in its liquid state, creating an ideal environment for life to flourish.
Mars : Mars is often called "The Red Planet" because of its reddish appearance in the night sky. It is the fourth planet from the Sun in our solar system and is located between Earth and Jupiter.
Jupiter : Jupiter is the largest planet and a gas giant, mainly composed of hydrogen and helium. One of its most famous features is the "Great Red Spot," a massive storm that has been active for centuries.
Saturn : Saturn is known for its stunning ring system. It is a gas giant, which means it doesn't have a solid surface like Earth. Instead, Saturn is mostly composed of gases, primarily hydrogen and helium.
Neptune : Neptune, positioned as the eighth and most distant planet from the Sun in our solar system, is made up mostly of hydrogen and helium. It is also one of the coldest planets in our solar system.
Asteroid belt : The asteroid belt is a torus-shaped region in our solar system that contains millions of asteroids, or minor planets, orbiting the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter
Torus : a shape that is a circular tube that is hollow inside
