Thank you for this video! Solar air conditioning and heat batteries seem truly revolutionary to me. If this technology could be made cheaply and at scale, it could save millions of lives in the years to come.

Important developments since Heating and Cooling is the primary energy user in most homes. Building enough of a photovoltaic system to run the lights in my house along with a fan or 3 is the matter of two or three thousand dollars, but throw in heat and air conditioning and it starts moving into the 20 and $30,000 range.

I hope to see stuff like this on our existing houses here in North America Trying to cool things with solar PV is like trying to propel a boat with a wind turbine, it just doesn't work But I like the idea of solar heat producing electricity too (especially if it can be through a thermoelectric generator) Monday, July 17, 2023 CE, 15:58 EDT

Why do they only offer this on systems with R-410A gas(which is not common here) and not newer models with R-32 gas or older models with R-22 gas?

@@synergyfiles3536 i tried Google and KZbin and only found peltier device based dehumidifiers, which as far as i understand are quite impractical, your solution looked far more efficient and realistic, hopefully you can deliver! Thanks for the great content

@@veryverymetta I have one Peltier based dehumidifier for a room. It does its job but eats up a lot of power. I was looking for a desiccant dehumidifier. They work better in colder climates likes mine in UK. The by product is the hot air which warms the room.

The most sensible way to heat water is via solar PV and heat pump water heater. The output is cold air that can be directed into a cold room in a basement to serve as a low cost alternative to a fridge for vegetables and liquids like juice and drinks

Heat pump is 350% efficient multiply by solar PV at 22% and you’re at the 77% efficiency to heat water from solar.

Is SOLAR AC based on VAR system are already made and available in market??
@Gilespargiter
@Gilespargiter 4 жыл бұрын
I found what you said about RV gas/electric fridges interesting. I haven't looked into the energy involved but am aware that when run on electricity they are usually way less efficient than compressor fridges. As far as I know because the electricity is used (less efficiently) to provide heat instead of drive a compressor. Do you think it would be practicably feasible to use heat provided by solar evacuated panels to provide the heat neccessary for them, either via hot air or water? The -so called- waste heat could then be used to add heat to a room rather than being vented via a flu. In my part of the world we spend at least 7 to 8 months heating rooms, so in this way could acheive close to 100% use of the energy exchanges.
@synergyfiles3536
@synergyfiles3536 4 жыл бұрын
Its been done in California. In fact they made a 10 ton system running on evacuated tubes. The chiller off course was a industrial one not the RV fridges. However it was fed heat purely by evacuated tubes

@@synergyfiles3536 Thankyou for that reply. I will look into it further as I'am at present extending my domestic off grid system and refrigeration from it is one of the goals. Also room heating - if only partially - would be a good way to dump/use any excess after battery charging.

hello there! This video is quite dated. Any more update for the Solar Desiccant Cooling System and the Vapour Absorption Refrigeration/Air Conditioning system. Will the desiccant cooling system work in extreme weather such as Dubai where the humidity of the air can sometimes reach 120%. Does the desiccant system actually cool the interior space?

The dessicant dehumidifier takes out the moisture. This in turn reduces the load of a conventional cooling system

@@synergyfiles3536 Wow! I did not expect to receive your reply so quickly. Thank you for that. Actually, I am trying to use Solar Thermal to cool the interior of a 5 bedroom house in Dubai, and to reduce the cost I am adopting a sustainable approach, and use the availability of constant and extreme Sun raise to achieve the task. Can you give me a few tips on how I can go about these using Solar thermal? Your early response is really very much appreciated, and your videos are really very instructive.

@@adegokekeshinro4315 your best bet is to buy a dessicant dehumidifier system that runs on solar. I think there is an Australian company that provides that. Once the humidity is reduced, the normal AC will comsume much less energy to cool the room. When the humidity is low, you will feel much comfortable even at higher temperature

@@synergyfiles3536 Hello there! sorry for getting back to you so late. I have been health challenged the last few days and couldn't get to computer. I appreciate your timely responses. Can you please give me the name of this company in Australia. I am not actually using any mechanical air condition in this home. I am using only natural ventilation supported by solar air condition. Air condition accounts for at least half of the energy used in homes in Dubai, I am trying to completely avoid that, plus I am researching how to also add Solar PV to take care of the rest of energy needed such as electricity for lighting and appliances and solar thermal for hot water. Does this company you know deal with Solar Pv for thermal (hot water) and generation of electricity too?
