thx for sharing. So many cowboys out there. I know you praise the support from solar edge but more important is why is the inverter failing after only 3-4 years. The customer is losing production during this time, not to mention the hassle to get it replaced and I suspect they will be hit up with some labour costs. It just seems from what I have seen that solaredge have a high failure rate and worth pointing this out. Also, they make it hard to use a different inverter if you have optimisers installed as you need to switch all the optimisers and inverter out which would be quite expensive.

What a shambles!! Also shouldn't put Lithium-Ion batteries in the loft as they could overheat and enter thermal runaway and cause a fire and also not adjacent to a water tank. Water can cause a short and again put the battery into thermal runaway and subsequent fire.

I can’t believe that anyone could install such a complete mess in a home. The person should be locked up for that. Can that possibly be registered with MCS?

More likely they never connected to WiFi (not likely a WiFi issue) probably didn’t setup the roof as well or the app,, such a total mess of what they did with everything wires and all
