Pretty stunning; they're all identical. I'd still like one.

Any chance on taking a tour of a Garcia Exploration sometime? Would absolutely love to see that.

Nice video Toby! Often the thumbnail makes it seem like you will be filming video of the boat under sail. I mean I guess there is some footage from 15:48 - 16:05 But I really love the videos of you sailing the boat! Much more interesting.

Impressive video, Yachting World. Looking forward to seeing more content from you. I smashed that thumbs up button on your upload. Keep up the great work! The features of the Solaris 74 RS are truly remarkable. How do you think the design choices impact the overall performance and comfort for long-distance cruising?

Can you do a video explaining stray current and hot marinas. I had never heard of this probelm until recently but find this a very interesting topic.

Having looked after a 62 ft and more recently a 50ft, they are strongly built and fantastic to sail...but... Oh those stark Ikea type interiors. I see the floor boards and ceiling boards are the same, what a disaster they become after time. Warp, fall down, floors develop gaps..horrible. The corian freezer lid is the same, lift it up boat lurches, square corner just at temple level....tickets! In saloon roof handles too high, in a seaway you have to crawl across! Hopefully they've improved the dinghy garage bulkhead, one of ours nearly sunk when the garage door hadn't closed completely and following waves broke over the back...just so many other design issues that really shouldn't exist on such an expensive boat. But that's what the new order is all about these days, showing off and bugger the consequences, after all, you can always sue someone !

Looks like it would be the perfect boat at anchor. I’m certain the owner hired a captain and crew to get the boat to location and joins them there with guests in tow for the tax write off.

The great thing about this yacht is you only fall down 1 stair before you fall into the sea if you slip off the back.

That's not a real boat. Put that in water and everyone will fall off, or out or over. It doesn't even have anything on the foredeck to break your toes on. And where's the brass barometer? There's enough room in there to swing a cat and far too much light. It would feel nothing like my 36ft 1970's Bowman. None of the toilets had handles to pump the waste away. If you look really closely you can see the mast and boom is made out of some type of plastic not metal, that'll break instantly. There's no rickety ladder to climb off and on the stern in the most impractical manner possible. I've never sailed a modern boat and never be able to afford one which makes me an expert on modern boats. That boat is only good for the parking lot.
@Ranchpig67Ай бұрын
You forgot the most important part: It's gonna sink from Orcas because it's dual spade rudders and not a full encapsulated keel. So worthless unless 2 miles off shore. So sad these modern boat builders couldn't just use 50 year old designs. Good enough for the greatest generation. And slow down when you drive on my street!!!!!! 😜
@VoltsAnBoltsАй бұрын
@AdeboFunkyVoodoo how much sailing experience do you have? It'd sail fine, be fine for a nice time out. I wouldn't wanna be out in serious weather for multiple days on it though. Or out in blue water

@@VoltsAnBolts I've been sailing since I was eight. I'm almost 60 and in the early stages of commissioning a custom sail boat to liveaboard for 2-3-5 years of (mostly) solo cruising the world. My "experience" tells me many things. Not least, that I'd rather cross oceans on most "modern" boats, than in most "traditional" boats. Many reasons for that, but safety is actually one of the top ones. It's amazing how ocean racing boats, share their DNA with many modern cruisers and yet salty old sea dogs claim, that they are not seaworthy. Design principles which race the southern oceans aren't any good in a heavy sea. Are you sure? Really? Really??? If people prefer to stick with that they know? Fine. I don't care. I don't judge. I certainly don't criticise. Buy, sail, cruise whatever you like. But why do salty old sea dogs insist that their choices are the only valid ones? Why must they rubbish what are in fact, proven, world class designs? Designs created by some of the industries most respected and experienced operators. A German Frers boat (as an example) from the 70's? Oh genius, safe boat, true bluewater ability. A German Frers boat launched today? Suddenly he doesn't understand boats/sailing/safety/cruising. Total death trap that won't even sail upwind, you'll fall off the back! Seriously, what are people talking about?

I have sailed in Atlantic around Cabo Verde this year. I promise this vessel is useless because in waves it is impossible to sleep in these beds because angles are so steep everybody would fall out!

It looks beautiful but it's completely useless for any actual sailing in wind. That deck & cockpit are hopeless with any heel or, you know... waves. A boat for med posing only. Costume jewellery
