Good grief some of the comments on this boat are a bit savage. It's cramped looking because if was built for a family not a couple and so that means lots of walls to give lots of privacy. You pays your money and takes your choice at the end of the day but if you have teenagers they don't want you gawping at them when they are in bed. As for the modern looks. personally that is what I would go for too. I might like traditional Victorian style paint and wood for a holiday boat but for long term use sleek and easy to clean are what I would go for.

What’s weird is that this is clearly built for mostly-moored-shore-power living for 2+1+1, in a very idiosyncratic custom layout, and they apparently no longer wanted her before she was even finished. Sad story. Well, although... the generator might argue for cruising, but honestly I cannot see a scenario where a family with two teenage children would or could go continuous cruising.

3:47 I wouldn't put the stove like that surrounded by all sides except the front. I would want the air to circulate freely around it, and be able to rise (a big part of heating in a room is actually hot air slowly filling it starting from the top). Also, it's completely blocked for efficient distribution of the heat through the boat. That sitting area is going to be baking hot while the rest of the boat needs other heating. I would guess this stove is unusable.

I love watching all the interesting narrow boat videos on here. I live near a canal and several friends have or still own a boat, however, I cant imagine wanting to live on one. A very narrow floating caravan, with the added delight of gulping in clouds of healthy diesel fumes on a never ending journey to the same places.

It would be more reasonable to walk the cut and find some ideal hotel accommodation. After one day they would forget the cut and stay in the ideal hotel. Gpx
