Wow, this is the most comprehensive video demo I've seen of this pedal. You can clearly see how inspired a player is when using this pedal. I have purchased this I can attest to the immediate inspiration experienced. I do wish he would have demonstrated roll off with the volume for clean sounds. Admittedly, I was a little spooked when I saw demos with people hitting grinding sounds at zero gain. I have run the game beyond five and can verify it cleaned up with volume roll off to very usable clean tones. I was really relieved even more excited. Thank you for this video. Your riffs are killer!!

I always come here first to listen to your playing Dan. But this pedal seems to cover all the bases for overdrive tones. Some aggressive tones with a lot of gain. But smooth and controllable as well.

Ooof, very nice video. I think I've seen about 10 videos of this pedal now. I'm sold! I really dig your playing too. 👌🏼 Did I see correctly that you sometimes pick the strings during the faster high-to-low legato parts with your fingers too? I need to start practicing that.

Thanks man! You did definitely see that, my alternate picking is fairly poor so I’ve always found it much more comfortable to hybrid pick a lot of stuff 👍

@@DanLeggatt Ah understandable! I don’t mind alternate picking so much, economy picking and hybrid I never really tried. But hybrid also seems nice as an alternative for picked string skips too. Probably gives you a bit more control over the dynamics as well?

@@brunvanderhorst I find it easier to control dynamics with fingers but your mileage may vary. I find it gives some contrast in faster passages too, going between pick attack and fingers on different strings. I use hybrid picking a lot for chord playing too or even just tuck the pick out of the way and just use fingers.

Howdy Dan, in a Kemper is there something in that could do the Soldano stuff or would it be ok via the effects loop (Distortion loop) and put it in front a the signal chain?? Cheers mate you rock!!

I’m sure there are some great profiles out there of the Soldano SLO but this pedal would work great into the Kemper with a clean amp profile 👍

you have not a tube inside so don't wait for miracles about the dynamism a tube is missing to be a good pedal So Blackstar again and again

I see why you may say that but equally, just because a pedal has a tube inside, it doesn’t automatically make it sound better or even good. I’ve played some terrible (to my taste) sounding tube overdrive pedals and tube amps for that matter. It’s more about the sum of the parts and the design of the circuit.
