Good gameplay but not exactly an EDUCATIONAL unranked to gm. Only watched for a while because there wasn’t any commentary on strategy, game sense, meta advice etc. There is definitely value to watching and breaking it down for yourself but compared to Awkwards Ana video for example this is just someone smurfing and occasionally saying “he should have died”

Honestly my teammates were much worse in gold and didnt listen even 10% of what his team did , atleast they tried to work with him. Diamond & masters is a bit better , just wish the game didnt do a hard reset between OW1 & 2 bc I was 3850 in 1 and got placed like gold 1 in ow2 and climbing out with morons was tilting

Bro I’m playing mercy on a new account and since I hit mid gold I was litteraly always playing with gold vs high plat / low diamond players… and when I hit plat I was playing with golds VS high diamond/masters or sometimes ppl who peaked at gm. Now I’m diamond 3 and continuing to climb but bro the matchmaking is so unfair I don’t get it. I’m always playing with people way lower than my rank VS people higher than mine. And as mercy, it is hard to change the outcome of a game when my plat dps can’t get a pick VS masters lol

I have pretty good tracking on soldier, sojourn and bastion but I suck on single hit hitscans. Any tip on how to improve? Sojourn achievement of killing 4 enemies with ultimate seems impossible to me.

Watch out for aimguide finally releasing this week! Otherwise, flicking is a very different aim style than tracking and just requires a lot of practice.

It may seem like it and obviously a mercy helps a lot but position and knowing what you can get away with is way more important.

@@MetroOW I was mostly being a smarta$$ but I genuinely do understand that those things are important. I also have noticed that when I have a Kiriko willing to assist with a flank I can generally get very good value. I don't know exactly what would be considered a healthy per/10min stat to maintain for deaths/damage/elims/killing blows. I know the game isn't entirely stat based, but some wins are simply not possible when you aren't leagues above your competitions skill. I mostly watch videos of this nature or series like this to learn movement around the map and I try to imagine that you miss twice as many shots to get a better idea of how things would go for me lol. I have games from time to time where I am getting gapped by the other dps and I rarely know what to do in those scenarios.

@@MetroOW I have been watching the video in match increments because it is rather long, but since you took the time to respond to my sarcasm I will try to give some more constructive feedback. I think I personally would benefit heavily if you were to go in post production edit and break down some of the crucial decisions you made and why they did or did not work. It can be difficult to explain them in the heat of the moment, but it would be extremely helpful to have 5-10 scenarios explained in depth post production. The raw content is fantastic and this would be a minor addition to help people like me who don't always understand how some of the things you do pay off so well or end up not working out.

You really don’t play with the team as soldier. You play with them every now and then but you should be flanking and hitting people from odd angles. Taking out support in the back line and running away since no one can really catch you, unless they have a speed boosting Lucio with them. You are literally a self sustaining character and shouldn’t really need support for heals.

I guess you didnt think on this before responding. Both can, and are, true at the same time. The matchmaker can be bad, and smurfs can make bad games. Suppose the game found a 'good match'. But, here is a smurf, turning it into a stomp on one side. Is that on the match maker? Or on the guy who goes in and dumpsters 5 people on the other team because the smurf isn't playing in the rank they belong?

@@judopunch2672 If you know about how smurfing works u'd know people get placed in their correct SR within 5-8 games, the games one does play on a completely new acccount compared to the overall games being played in a given day make up less than a 100th of a percent and do not at all account for the glaring issues the matchmaker in general has. If anyone plays on an account that has more than 10 games played, they will be at a ratiing somewhere around where they should be, the only exceptions are people losing games on purpose which iis also not a big issue but an issue that will get those people banned if you report them.

Those 40 people are basically having their time stolen and experience ruined. if one tank player did every tank 'xx to gm' thats at minimum 440 or 88 games people who basically just wasted their time hitting the play button. I cant count the number of games in OW1 where the matchmaker was significantly better, that had one minimum level account absolutely dumpstering my entire team. Its not fun. In short, on top of the matchmaker being complete garbage, and even if it was good, every time that a someone as skilled, hardworking, and gifted as you does one of these, its done at the expense and time of, by your estimation, 40 other people and those people may only have time for one or two games. I appreciate the time you have taken to respond to my comments, and the content you create.

Proper positioning is based on your mechanical skill, a better player should be in a different spot. Though most the time you’ll want to be on an off angle, not all the way behind where you can be dived 1v5, or frontline, where you aren’t creating any crossfire. Dafran is so unbelievable that he knows he can make plays in silly positions against worse players.

I love it so much these days when high rank players start to complain and tell matchmaking is dogshit. While actually they are the problem.....you top 500 players DON'T BELONG IN GOLD ! and even than you complain the game is dogshit 🤣 Every time a gm or top 500 player does an educational or unranked, all those matches becomes ruined and the other team feels powerless. I don't think you have a true understanding of how to play soldier. You have good aim but have gold mindset positioning. You Frontline wayyy to much and position yourself out in the open to get shot which in turn makes you easy to get hit which again in turn makes you flame your healers. You never flank when you should and you barely take high ground to utilize soldier adequately. You said in game you stop playing on your main bc u keep getting a mixed bag of players. This game is based on stats and mmr so ranks/Sr don't really matter anymore. If you play like a gold player, you will be thrown in with a mix of Plats and masters to balance out the game. I would suggest you really look at your positioning and how much damage your taken in if you didn't have healers there to save you versus being pocketed by a healer. Other than that, good content to learn from.
