AHHHHHHH IGOT IT!!! okay so- Idk whats really happening with Roman, but in his little flashback, we see that hes weaing a red tie with a prince logo on it. In Logans flashback, we see that he was doing an experiment on someone. One of the people in the background was Roman. In the next frame we see that there must have been an accident, maybe causing Logan to go blind. Okay- woo!! So in Patton's flashback we see that he had been beat up and there was group of people laughing at him. One person had blue eyes.. Logan. In the next frame we see Patton holding a bottle and a bottle behind him in a locker of 'Logan C'. THIS MEANS THAT PATTON GOT HIS REVENGE BY SWITCHING BOTTLES AND MADE LOGAN CAUSE THE WHOLE ENTIRE ACCIDENT THAT CAUSED TH E APOCALYPSE- edit- the person in the chair during Logans experiment may have been Roman’s lover (or idk) he was mourning in his flashback- however i’m not sure. also- TY FOR 800 LIKES UHM WOW i think. But thats just a theory. A gay theory

Just what I've gathered: I may be very wrong or missing bits, but this is just what I think is going on: Patton and Roman might have been together in some way judging from the flowers as they were light blue and red. Patton and Logan were scientists who were working on some sort of cure for something possibly. Logan created a working cure and gained praise and recognition for it while Patton was belittled and laughed at for some reason. Patton had created something else that presumably created the Apocalypse, switching it out for the cure and making Logan feel guilty and at fault (why the liquid is green and not dark blue in Logan's second still frame) The Apocalypse breaks out, and the groups are [Roman, Logan, Patton], [Emile, Remy, Virgil], and [Deceit and Thomas]. Deceit and Thomas are pulled apart in some way (maybe they need to split up or something idk) Patton eventually gets shot???

Ok, so, I may or may not have paused this on every scene and studied each image, then repeated to do so 4 more times. This is what I got: 1) THE ART IS AMAZING HOLY HELL?????? 2) Roman is having drama with someone 3) (this is me trying to figure things out) Logan might have created the zombie disease, probably by accident 4) then Pat(my baby boy who was also probably looked down upon) let his emotions get to him and spread it 5) imma just assume he regretted it, or thought he'd be able to control it -3&-4)ok so this is the other option(which makes way more sense, is way angstier) Pat switched out his formula for Lo's as a way of revenge since based off all the laughing figures, the middle one was dark blue, showing Logan might of been the head of his problems 666) this would also make sundae of the ending more: it shows that even though Pat and Lo are both sad, pat secretly is the one who is getting the laughs in the end, while lo is the one suffering 6) THE BEFORE AND AFTER PICS OG VIRGE, REM, AND EM HURT ME 7) I WENT BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THEM SO MANY TIMES 8) the way their posture, expressions, and positions show so much on how each of them is reacting 9) AND THEY STICKED TOGETHER!!! 10) ok, so Dee and Thomas 11) something obviously happened between them, what that is? I have no clue 12) and finally... 13) THIS WAS SO AMAZING WHAT THE FLIPPING-FLOP-A-HORSE-JUST-DID-A-HOP IM SCREAMING I LOVE THIS SO MUCH LIKE HOW??????

Like Thomas got whatever the virus is that patton released and now deceit is out to kill whoever started this. Cause strings around the neck imply control, but what kind. Thomas controlled by the animalistic urges that the virus gave him? Deceit controlled by a need for revenge, as if that will bring his child/brother back to him.

At 0:46 you can see one of the people in the background wearing a red tie which is what Roman had on a few scene ago from what I presume is before the apocalypse I dont know if that was intentional (I think it was) but is shows how they are all connect to the origin of the virus in some way

My theory: Logan and Patton are both scientists. Logan makes something great, possibly a cure of some kind, and is praised for his achievements, while Patton is ridiculed for the failure of his attempt to create something similar. Right before Logan's creation goes public, Patton switches the test tubes so that his creation will be distributed instead of Logan's. Something happens in the lab, causing an explosion and Logan's blindness. Roman was supposed to help distribute the cure, so he was there at the accident (which was possibly caused by Patton). They all band together to survive. Remy, Emile, and Virgil were all friends too. They banded together after the accident that caused the apocalypse, possibly becoming something akin to the Fates from Hadestown. Dee was Thomas' older brother, but they got separated in the chaos. Dee has sworn to do whatever it takes to get his brother back.

I know Im late to this one, but hear me out. And these might be very very farfetched but still a thought. Roman and Logan were/are(?) together before the incident. Roman left a little note for his dork on Logan's desk for before/after the experiment for Logan to read, but he also seemed upset at the same time. Perhaps he was just anxious. Perhaps he was about to break up with him. Maybe it was a just confrontation because he was worried about the expirement, or that Logan was over working himself to make this perfect. In Logan, hes obviously testing this chemical type thing on someone because hes curious as to what it would do. Perhaps it couldve been the cure to something or something truly truly breath taking, hence Roman also watching in the back watching. He realizes that what hes done was a large mistake and he panics, realizing that what hes done was something that couldnt just be fixed so easily. Whatever it was, it was bad enough for him to not be able to see, or not wanting to see, the carnage that he had started by mistake. He's left blind, wearing a bandana as he follows Roman. In Pattons flash back, it is shown that he was beat up/bullied/laughed at/just treated badly in general, covered in the shadows of people he was always left to work up to or was expected to act like. More specifically the person in the center. Logan. Out of pure spite in the moment, Patton switched out the two vials from the one that could've been something breath taking to something that was or could end the world as he knew it. He didn't care, and he did this anyway, perhaps now regretting it (seen in his expression with dark eye circles and seemingly anxious as he followed Logan and Roman) but happy he at least got "even" with the person he was always stuck in the shadow of. (His smile in the last panel showing that despite regretting what hes done, hes still satisfied because of what he has done to Logan) Deceit and who I am guessing is Remus were left to grow up in this, Remus perhaps being rather hopeless(shown by the bear he was holding and the blue marks down his head) I'm guessing and going on a limb here that Remus got unlucky as he grew up in this" causing poor Deciet to leave him behind, or needing to defend him until the inevitable worst happens, but by judging on the question marks, nobody knows whats happened to them. Thomas, Virgil, and Patton stayed together before I'm guessing Patton started to go with Roman and Logan. Thomas leading a happy life as barista, making amends with Virgil and hanging out with the two. Virgil seemed happy, but once it happened its unknown as to what he did, most likely staying quite and taking care of himslef and Thomas, as Thomas has now become confused and upset, unsure of what to do and what has happened. Anyway. Sorry if this didn't make sense at all, kinda tired and it's incredibly late as I typed this out. Of it doesn't make sense, Ill try to clear it up.

This is my take on the backstory: Patton and Logan used to work together in a lab (or something like that) and Logan and the other people working there would gang up on him and tease/whatever him. To get his revenge, Patton switched Logans chemical thing with his virus. Later, Logan was going to give it to Roman as an example of what it could do, but an accident happened and Logan spilled the virus into his eyes and released it into the outside world.

HELLO???? Oh my gosh this is so good!!!!!! I’m shrieking???? I literally had to go back and rewatch Patton’s part like three times bc I flipped out it’s so good!!! Ok, so what I gather is that Patton likes Roman (the letters and flowers), Roman was at Logan’s showing of his chemical (I’m assuming it was medicine?) and then Patton in jealousy of Logan’s potential/fame or of Logan and Roman, switched the medicine with a deadly chemical, and though they’re all suffering, Patton’s getting the last laugh. The others are killing me, though, the shots of them before and after it all went down is making me so sad l but I still love it??? Your art is so good!!!!!

ok OK I have a lot of stuff in my head and so many questions... But at least I will say what I could understand... Based on the end of the video, Patton and Logan worked together (they both have lab coats). Many people hurt Patton (the reason? idk), including Logan (there's a dark blue shadow laughing at Patton, that I assume is Logan). Then Patton got tired and (probably without thinking) change formulas, causing Logan to begin the apocalypse by accident. Now... I can't tell if Patton really feels guilt, it's a little confusing, but I think he does. In the end we can see Logan with a shot in his head, and Patton with two shots in his chest. That has me shooketh... AND, something I find interesting is that Picani, Deceit and Thomas, in the picture showing the comparison of the before and after the apocalypse began, are shown with a cross in their eyes. Now, what is interesting about that? Well, Logan has the same cross at the end (because he's blind), but the others are not blind, so... What does this mean? It would have been normal if Virgil and Remy also had crosses but no, they don't have. I hope that at least one thing I said makes sense because I feel like I'm just a paranoid and I'm reading too much... But all angst and theories aside, THIS IS BEAUTIFUL, WHAT AN AMAZING VIDEO. Let me try to decipher all of the heck-a-ma-doodle going on here: 1) We have Roman here whom is the "solider"... He looks happy and content and healthy. 2) Roman has a tattoo that reminds me of Rapunzel's sun symbol...so connection..? 3) 0:25 the guy there is wearing a tie and it's red with a crown on it. So that could either be Thomas or Roman in my opinion.. But then we see that the flowers are from Roman so I assume it's Thomas.. Don't really have much context though lol. 4) 0:26 he's now looking at the flowers and crying so.. perhaps it's Virgil and there's some prinxiety or maybe it's just Thomas missing Roman. (Assuming Roman is either gone, or Thomas thinks he's dead) 5) Next, I believe this is Logan. Uh, he's blind... I need the backstory on that lol. 6) 0:46 alright there's a shitton of stuff here. One the first thing I see is Logan in a lab coat holding a needle. There are many other people in the background in lab coats, there's also someone in a suit. I assume this is something Logan is trying to sell? 7) Also in the background is someone holding a camera so perhaps this is a live experiment. 8) THERE'S EYES IN THE BACKGROUND SO LOTS OF PRESSURE??? OR MANY PEOPLES WATCHING??? OR SYMBOL OF ANGER?? 9) K , also, there's this dude sitting on a chair with a needle in his arm. He's probably strapped to it so he can't move. 10) 0:48 This is probably Logan. It looks like something went wrong, people are blaming him for it and blah blah blah. 11) Also, back to the walking scene, Logan has something on his back, like a weapon I think... So waht is it?? 12) Then we have Patton... He looks like he's crying in the walking scene but that might just be my poor eyesight lol. 13) 1:13 ughh I might cry. Okay so it looks like Patton's on the ground, bloodied and bruised. He's on his knees and perhaps crying. There's a crowd of people one of which has a dark blue face so that may be Logan. Perhaps Patton was there during testing and...he got blamed? 14) 1:15 (just realized this) above the box with the potion or whatever says "LOGAN C" ....and Patton is holding another one that looks exactly the same he's crying as well. Also harder to see, there's still people in the background. 15) I believe that Patton switched them which eventually led to the apocalypse.. For what reasons? I have some theories but none are based on fact. 16) 1:21 so that's Virgil, Remy...and either Picani or Patton but I'm assuming it's Patton. They look happy, so this is probably before the apocalypse. 17) 1:23 Same people but..after the apocalypse? Virgil's smoking and has a mask, Remy has spikes on his shoulders, Patton has some sort of weapon. 18) 1:23 THAT'S DECEIT AND THOMAS!! The butterflies are the other sides and... why is Deceit with Thomas? Why are they so happy? What?! 19) 1:25 ok same people again, but after the apocalypse, like last time. So they must feel trapped, which is why the have the lines/ropes around their necks. Thomas is crying and Deceit has a gun on his back plus a snek. They both have ??? above their eyes so perhaps they forgot who they are? or...idk 20) 1:26 Logan and Patton. They must've been close friends. They both look upset so maybe this is when Patton confesses about switching the potions? 21) 1:33 X on Logan, creepy smiling face on Patton. Patton feels evil and Logan feels hated? 22) ALSO.. 1:33 look at Patton's shirt. He's been shot...twice. ooooh *Alright so this is all guesses, many are based off of many comments already written but yeah. How close do you think my theories are?*

Anyone else think the one who was in the chair was Patton? The chair in Logan's flashback yolky where everyone is standing around to marvel at whatever he made-a medicine or a way to enhace people? I dunno. But we can see someone in that chair and when we see Patton being laughed at he looks a bit injured? Maybe he was in the chair as a volunteer or as a co creator who offered to show off or as someone to safe but something happened and he possibly like posioned Logan? Had something to do with the loss of Logan's sight, switched the vials and started everything?

Some things I noticed that I didn’t see many people mentioning: 1) unless Roman wears a tie to work most days (definitely a possibility), the flashback where he sees the flowers could be the exact same day the accident happened, as we see a figure wearing a red tie in Logan’s first flashback. 2) The flowers could be from Patton, as they are his signature light blue. 3) Since the three of them have stuck together, this makes me think Logan still thinks it was his fault that something went wrong, and he has no idea about Patton’s meddling. 5) this could also be (partly) why Patton is so sad, not only is he probably super guilty, he also has to keep that secret from Logan in order for him to survive. Just my speculation!

Logan was a well known scientist, Patton being his right hand man and Roman maybe being Logan’s supportive lover(?). Roman was wearing a black suit and red tie in his first flashback, Roman was probably going to work, and/or support his lover in work, Logan. Another theory for Roman is that his actual lover, not Logan, died and he was mourning. There was a picture on the corner of a couple, Roman and his lover. Patton could possibly be Romans lover as well from the light blue flowers and the note with Romans name on it with hearts. Something happened to Patton, there was a scene where people were crowded around Patton, laughing while Patton looked beaten up, hurt, etc. One of the creepy laughing/smiles were Logan by the dark blue. To get revenge, Patton mixed a virus or cure of somewhat with something else to mess up Logan’s cure/virus. OR Patton may of got fired from his job and while he was cleaning out his locker he switched the serums. Logan’s flashback was showing the virus/cure and testing is on someone, maybe Romans unknown lover(?). But since Patton switched the serums there was a huge explosion causing Logan to go blind AND the apocalypse. Now the three, Roman, Logan and Patton travel in search of survival. Janus(Deceit) is the father and/or uncle of Thomas, the both of them got separated now Janus is doing all that it takes to find and keep Thomas safe. BUT the person Logan was experimenting on could be Thomas, the light blue serum changed to green, there was green liquid on Thomas’ face. Near the end Patton and Logan have bullet holes, two were at Pattons chest near his heart, maybe loosing his sense of morality(?). Logan’s was at his forehead could be Logan thinking it was illogical of the experiment and blaming himself of the apocalypse but when it really was Patton who started it all. Virgil, Remy and Picani are all friends before the apocalypse, now they’re all trying to at least be a little sympathetic and survive. To sum to it Logan thinks AND blames himself for the apocalypse when really PATTON caused it all, Logan is blind, Roman is basically the leader since Logan is blind, Patton never told the others the truth now he lives in guilt. Janus is still in search of Thomas. Virgil, Remy and Picani are fighting to survive. This is just a theory AND I know Teardroppeddew stopped in the making of this AU but I just wanted to give you all my theory. So here is it, my gay theory.

well according to speculation, i think patton started the apocalypse. the fact if he intended it to be this bad or not is yet to be determined (i think he did). well because in that frame where patton is getting beat up, that middle person has blue eyes. so that must be logan because he’s the only other character associated with blue in the entire franchise. but in the next frame, we see patton switching out a bottle with an identical bottle with a skull. logan did his experiment with this bottle causing the apocalypse
