THANKS. this review is exceptionally helpful. im trygin to buy an eliptical to add to my 2 staimsters at home, to give a little variety. in hotels and gyms when i travel i ahve found many that i dont liek the feel and some i do. but they are all the top pro brands designed for gym usage like life fitness. the number of options available from non-top-tier non-pro brands is huge but where i lvei nobody has them in stock. this is going to really help me. looking forward to watching your others.

Thanks for the review, so at your height, which is mine also. Which do you prefer the Sole E35 or Nordictrack AirGlide14i?

Both work well. I like the handles of the E35 more, but there's really not a huge difference in comfort.

Nordictrack is a scam, their screen is purposely locked so you cannot use it for anything other than their subscription service trainer program. Any company that purposely goes out of their way to disable the Android system especially on machines that cost over $1000 should be put out of business.

My 2023 E35 has several issue. First, it will not keep the proper time & date. It continuously set's itself to China Standard Time. Since I'm in Eastern US Time, this is either 12 hours ahead or 13 hours ahead depending on daylight savings. It's disappointing as the sync to the Sole+ app is logged with improper time and date. In addition, there are times when the unit will simply not turn on. I can unplug it from AC power, toggle the physical on/off button, no matter what, it will not turn back on from an apparent "sleep mode". I have reported this to Sole and they've replaced the console. This did not resolve the issue. It's intermittent but frustrating. The only way I can get to wake up or power back on is to remove the console and disconnect the cables. Once you reattach the cable it will power on and immediately boot up. I have posted a two part video showing the issue and resolution. I've had this elliptical for 6 months (purchased when it was first released) and am very disappointed to have these sort of issues from day one. Finally, my left handlebar is at a different angle than the right handlebar which at full stride comes very close to the console itself to the point where your hand can strike the console during your workout. Sole has sent a replacement handlebar and dispatched a technician to replace, however, it's still misaligned. kzbin.info/aero/PL6GD0zGAhZLi53q8BzzwUKvzch8Mw75yK&si=zvK-vEdmA15Tt9N3

This is very unfortunate that the unit is giving all of this trouble. Esp, since their treadmills have so much durability. Thank you for sharing your experience.

At this point I believe the problem more so to be with the built in touchscreen interface which is basically a locked down android tablet. A software update on it did fix the time/date issue which they learned about when I contacted Dyaco (they develop the Sole app and the software on that tablet/touch display). The frustration with it not powering on continues. Just happened again yesterday unfortunately. It's like you have to kill the power and everything that is attached to that touch display to reset it. I plugging at the wall does not help so perhaps there is a battery or capacitor in-line somewhere.

I don't want tech! I just want to jump on, run my heart up to 85% as fast as possible, and jump off. Lather, rinse, repeat. I like the level of difficulty of the 35, and the footprint, and some other things- but the controls are buried in some stupid A$$ screen is a deal breaker for me! You can't concentrate on muscle burn and labored breathing if you brain is occupied with distracting bubblegum! A note to SOLE; STOP MAKING SIMPLE THINGS OVERLY COMPLICATED! K.I.S.S. I'll bet more than half of the population capable of buying your products WON'T because we are turned off by unnecessary tech. Just give us what we need, it's simple. Off/spindle lock, On, and maybe heart rate. Thanks for your honest review dear, it has been very helpful.

Would you recommend a slightly older version of this model that has the non-touch screen console, a different Sole model, or suggest looking at a different brand? I noticed at a few used ones for great prices. I care more about comfort and the ability to crank hard for HIIT. My True Fitness ES700 died years ago and running is destroying my body.

@@Tiger1016. I would recommend getting the most unit you can afford. I ended up getting the 35... It was on promo for $75 more than the 25. Both zero shipping. Turns out you can just jump on and GO! No need to even turn it on. Of course you can't change resistance or set timers. The bigger footprint, the more stable it is when you really get cranking on it, and the heavier flywheel gets you smoother performance. Hope this was helpful. David.

I’ve heard that it’s not the best model for tall people
