Sole F85 treadmill sound review and such

This is a sound review and such of a 2020 Sole F85 treadmill such as i was looking around for very quite treadmills and was looking into the Sole F85 treadmill cushion whisper decks and i then purchased one to try. I couldn't find much on sound tests on treadmills during my search before i purchased a treadmill so i thought i can make a video to help others know about the sound and such in the ways that i can with a short video. So here is a short video to help along the way.

Thanks for this...I just purchased one and I live in a condo with neighbours underneath. Everyone said this was quiet and I tested it...I am super nervous it will still bother them. Do you use a mat underneath yours?

Yes I do have the exercise mats that are like a puzzle on the edges where you can connect them together kind of thing and it works awesome. My neighbors said they don't even know if I am home or not kind of thing. I hope it works out awesome for you.

I'm going to be purchasing one soon too. I live in the only apartment above a restaurant that's barely open due to the coronavirus. Does yours make a lot of noise that people below you hear it? What about shaking? I'm going to be running, not super fast, but not crawling either. So I was worried if the pounding of my feet would be loud and shake the building. Thank you.

I weigh around 190 lbs and I run pretty hard sometimes. I think it does awesome. My neighbors have said many times they don't even know when I am home.

Hi how is the screen mirroring working for you? Are you able to successfully mirror from and android phone? Do you use zwift?

I make my own videos that I use to run with. I never used zwift.

Thanks for the review. I was under the impression that folding treadmills tend to feel wobbly or unstable for running... do you have any issues with that? Sole now makes this model in a stationary design and I am trying to decide

The F85 is a very stable model. The frame on the F85 is awesome and very well designed I think. I weigh almost 200 lbs and run hard sometimes such as bursts of sprints and such and it doesn't seem to wobble at all and it feels very comfortable with the whisper cushion deck is what my honest experience is with mine. I feel the slight cushion as I run hard and such but it doesn't feel like a wobble at all. It feels more like a solid shock absorber is what I think it feels like. Honestly that is some of what I truly love about using it such as it feels more comfortable than running on pavement,concrete or such. I personally think from experience with mine that it feels healthier than running on such pavement or such because of the shock absorbing aspects of the whisper cushion deck. I recommend the F85, but I am doing so because that is the one I can honestly describe my personal experiences to you about and I certainly love mine and I hope to have a lot more extremely happy moments with mine. I hope you have amazing moments ahead of you as well and thanks for asking such as its been kind of a pleasure explaining some awesome moments that I have had with mine and it helped me look back at those happy moments as I was thinking about them so I could answer your questions honestly and with some details to help you. 😁👍

My Sole F85 just shipped yesterday. I ordered the F80 and there was going to be a long shipping delay due to the amount of orders during Covid-19 and gyms being closed. I emailed a higher up in the company and asked if I could pay to upgrade to the F85, and he upgraded me to the F85 free of charge due to the long shipping delay of the F80. I can't wait to get it!

Great review, btw...what is the maximum time limit you could set on your run?

Thanks. I use mine on manual pretty much when ever I use it. I did just check for you though. I can set it to go up to 99 minutes plus some warm up time can be before the 99 minutes workout. I have used mine for several hours consecutively though on manual while jogging,running and walking and even watching a movie or such kind of thing such as like 4hrs. As I said I use manual pretty much all the time though.

Thanks for the response. Seriously considering buying treadmill right now given the situation we’re having (i.e. Corona). My outdoor long runs, normally it would average 2:30-3hr..so it’s good to know you can set the treadmill at manual to last long hours and I know SOLE is a solid treadmill. Hopefully I can get discount from their sales rep 😁 thx again and have a good one!

@@drc3857 Yes it is the pre set workouts that can be set up to 99 minutes like a pre set cardio workout,strength workout,fat burn workout and so on that are pre set workouts that come programed in it. I love the manual settings though so I can go on and on and on if I want to sort of thing. It's a more detailed machine for such measurements. Entering age,weight and more and doing more detailed features. Lol. It's nice if you want to try to help technology be able to advance and be useful.

do people typically plug these into their normal household outlets or do people end up installing a dedicated line for treadmills due to the potential for frequent tripped circuits? Was wondering if i need to prepare for something like that before purchasing one of these.

Hi Michael, how do you like the cushioning compared to the commercial ones? I ordered an F85 last week but was hesitant for awhile cuz some online reviews say the cushioning on nordictrack is better. How would you rate it 1-10, cushioning and overall? And can your friend hook a brother up with that discount? ;)

I think the F 85 is amazing in some ways. I tried a commercial treadmill of a different brand and thought it's awesome,but I personally prefer my Sole F 85 and home scenarios much more how I mean because of how I have things, create things and so on how I am referring about. I have like a 40" Sony TV in front of the treadmill that I use to watch video content that I create such as videos of trails and stuff of which it makes it kind of look like true reality kind of thing or in other words it is like a virtual run in the woods or run on a rail trail or so on per se as I'm running on my treadmill at home. So I not only use my treadmill at home but I also go out and make content that I can use while I use my treadmill at home such as running while watching some video content that I made that kind of looks like I'm running outside in the woods or on some rail trail or whatever that I mean so with all of these scenarios combined and exercising mentally with my treadmill and creating content artistically that I can use while I can use my treadmill and so on in such ways and there for I think my F 85 and such is amazing. I really appreciate the things that I've been doing and I do some of such because I really do appreciate my sole F 85 such as I love to use it and i do positive things to help me be able to use it in healthy ways. Here's a example in the link to a video that I was involved in creating. I watch it while jogging on my treadmill and it can help others by able to exercise while watching it aswell. Michael how useful are the cooling fans and can you move them up and down like those of a car's?

I don't use the fans and no they don't move up and down like in cars. I've actually turned the heat up in the room when running on it at times. I typically want my body to get rid of the toxins in such times and there for i typically don't put a fan on my body how i mean because it would close up the pores more so than if running without the fan and running with out the fan helps the pores eject the toxins. That is some details of why i do what i do and don't do what i don't do concerning such that i mean. I hope that helps.

Thanks Michael! I just like to use it in the last 2 min before stopping. It’s a nice refreshing feeling. As for releasing toxins sauna works best for me :) Man I’d really appreciate if you can turn them on while standing and let me know if they’re cool and powerful enough to do me that bit

Those two fans are tiny and if that is what you want than you should get a different fan such as a big fan for the room.

I bought the treadmill last week and I gotta say it’s been superb although I’m lacking fitness. I’m running on socks like you are.. just not sure how it affects the user and belt. As for the belt, I was told by the installers that a dry cloth (or slightly damp) is enough to clean it (if needed) and I was thinking the friction between the belt and socks will actually benefit both the user (better balance) and the treadmill (by cleaning the belt). Thoughts on this?

I love mine. I purchased mine for around $1300 from Sole of which i got a discount at the time and i love it. It depends on various things if it will be worth it for you i think. If you use it alot and love using it then it is money well spent,but if it doesn't get used much and such then it isn't going to be worth it for you. I do truly think it is very well built per se such as strong and less priced ones seemed to be not as well built is what i was seeing and i really wanted to try the cushioned whisper deck being that i was truly looking for a quiet one that is well worth the money and i think i found one of the ones that fits best. Sure some others may have worked well too,but i love the one i bought and i truly love using it. I have a set up now with like a Sony 40" TV screen in front of it that i can watch GoPro videos that i make such as make to watch as if i am running in the woods or such and it is honestly amazing and i love it big time. I have alot of work in to it and time,but it worked awesome so far in some ways and hopefully it will get much much better such as improve the types of videos that i make to watch such as in the woods,on bike paths and so on as kind of a indoor running machine that it is like i am running outside per se and other videos that inspire me and such. It's a work in progress. Hopefully what ever you decide concerning it works out awesome and that you will have amazing times ahead with enormous amounts of happiness how i am referring about. @@MichaelStugart Wow, $1,300!? It's now $2K for the F85 and you can't get one right away. Did you consider the lower Sole models like the F80? What about brands like True, Spirit et al? Thanks for your insights!

I did consider a bunch of other brands, but i really wanted to try the cushion whisper deck by Sole and i am truly happy with it and love using it. I hope that helps.

I had ear buds in with music while I would run looking at a video I was involved in creating for running Infront of the digital display like VR per se as a 40 inch Sony TV was Infront and turn the lights off and focus on healthy exercising how I mean. Seriously a amazing set I had been involved in creating. I don't have it anymore.
